From 1975 to 1984, Mr. Smith was employed by Rockwell International Corporation in a variety of technical and management positions. Mr. Smith served with Xerox Data Systems from 1972 to 1975 and RCA Computer Systems Division from 1969 to 1972 in mainframe sales and pre-sale technical roles. Mr. Smith received a B.A. in Business Administration from Grove City College.

David J. Wagner

David J. Wagner joined Zix as President and Chief Executive Officer in January 2016 and also serves as a member of Zix’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining Zix, Dave held leadership roles at Entrust for 20 years. Most recently he served as President of Entrust from 2013 through 2015, where he led the successful integration of Entrust after its acquisition by Datacard. Dave delivered revenue growth and led the re-investment strategy to move Entrust solutions to the cloud. He also served as Chief Financial Officer of Entrust from 2003 to 2013. Before joining Entrust, Dave held various finance and accounting positions at Nortel Networks and at Raytheon Systems. He is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where he received both an undergraduate degree in accounting and a master of business administration (MBA) degree.
