We are looking for interns with a passion for the Great Commission and interest in nonprofit to be a part of our internship program for summer 2026!
The People Advancement Intern will learn about the critical skills necessary to strategize, support and implement East-West Ministries People Advancement (PA) practices as it relates to Human Resources and Recruitment.
By interning with the People Advancement department, you will have the opportunity to
* employee recognitions
* Coordinating staff events
* Assisting with staff training and development initiatives
* Screening candidates applications
* Scheduling candidate interviews
* Shadowing candidate interviews
* Updating East-West policies & handbooks
* Employee files maintenance
* Updating the human resources database system and other administrative projects.
* Participate in weekly intern group time. This is a time where interns from all departments will gather and be discipled, grow in knowledge about unreached people groups, and discover your unique role in the Great Commission.
* Participate in East-West staff events and socials, lunch and learns, etc.
Through participation in meetings and training sessions, the intern will be exposed to all aspects of East-West Ministries to understand best practices in ministry as well as standards of excellence in all of the organization. All interns receive a well-rounded snapshot of the inner workings of an evangelical, non-profit, missio-centric, organization. Through research, shadowing, brainstorming, and assisting in projects and tasks, the ultimate objective of the East-West Internship Program is to provide a progressive learning environment to equip future leaders for ministry.
Summer 2026 internships are located at the home office at 2001 W. Plano Parkway, Suite 3000, Plano, TX 75075. Please note that all East-West internships are unpaid opportunities.

The Internal Communications Intern will learn about the critical skills necessary to strategize, support, and implement East-West's internal communication channels across a global organization.
By interning with the Internal Communications department, you will have the opportunity to
* Plan and execute various internal events, in-person and/or virtual, specifically designed to foster a sense of connection and unity among East-West staff.
* Write, edit, and curate content for internal newsletters and digital channels, gathering compelling, mission-focused stories that keep staff informed and excited.
* Develop clear and effective talking points and presentations for organizational leaders, ensuring unified messaging across all departments.
* Contribute to video creation projects designed to engage, inform, and inspire staff about East-West's impact.
* Craft your own strategic communications plan for a project.
* Learn more about East-Wests field ministry and how strong internal communication energizes its support.

We are looking for interns with a passion for the Great Commission and interest in nonprofit to be a part of our internship program for summer 2026!
The Next Teams Department of East-West is looking for individuals who have a passion for the nations, a servants heart, and a love for students (high school and college age). We teach leadership training to our participants and are looking for strong leaders to join our team and join us in this work. In the Next Teams Department, we are passionate about seeing the next generation experience Gods power around the world. We want to equip them to share their faith, provide them with a chance to serve church planters and train them to be missional leaders.
The intern program is a great way to experience first-hand what its like to work for a missions organization. Field Interns will have a chance to serve in the field on two of our NEXT Teams (mission trips for high school and college students), get to know and learn from our mission staff, teach a portion of our Catalyst leadership material and work alongside other interns that have a heart for missions.
Requirements:
* The internship is for students age 16 through senior in college (must be at least 16 years of age and able to drive in DFW metroplex. Our office is in Plano).
* If you are a college student and doing this internship for program credit, we are willing to adapt project needs to meet program requirements.
* The applicant must have a heart for missions and an ability to multitask well. They must be a self-starter who will take initiative to get projects done.
* Although this internship is unpaid we expect that you treat this as a job in which you show up to work on time and submit absences in advance.
* Prior mission trip experience of any kind is a plus.
* The applicant must be in good standing with his or her local church, agree with East-Wests Statement of Belief and be able to provide references.

The Digital Strategies Intern will learn how to incorporate marketing and technical skills to support East-West's vision for multiplying followers of Jesus in the spiritually darkest areas around the world.
By interning with the Digital Strategies department, you will have the opportunity to
Provide support to our overseas staff by brainstorming and problem solving through different digital projects.
Take the lead on helping run several digital data tracking platforms ( NPL Prog, GAPP, ishare, etc.)
Assisting with documentation, data tracking and reporting for various digital projects.
Learn the back-end of several technology platforms being built and designed for various ministries to improve data entry.
Participate in team meetings.
