Eben Frankenberg is President & CEO of Echodyne Corp which he co-founded in 2014 to bring metamaterials-based radar products to market. Echodyne is a privately held company whose investors include: Bill Gates, Madrona Venture Group, NEA, Vulcan Capital, Lux Capital, The Kresge Foundation, and others.

Prior to founding Echodyne, Eben was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Intellectual Ventures (IV) where he created and incubated new companies including: Echodyne Corp™ - founded in 2014, and Evolv Technologies, Inc.™ - founded in 2013 to deliver metamaterials-based security imaging products.

Prior to being an EIR, Eben served as Executive Vice President of Corporate and Invention Development at IV. His responsibilities included: overseeing the IV Lab and Global Good as well as creating and incubating new companies including: Kymeta™ - founded in 2012 to deliver metamaterials-based satellite communication terminals, and TerraPower™ - founded in 2008 to deliver next generation nuclear power reactors.

For his first 5 years at IV he served as the EVP and COO of IV, responsible for the day to day operations of the company as it grew from 50 to 550 people, and from $250MM to |$5B of capital under management.

Prior to joining Intellectual Ventures, Eben spent 9 years at Onyx Software Corporation in various roles including: EVP Americas, EVP Business Development, SVP Sales and Marketing, and VP Sales. From 1995-2000, Mr. Frankenberg led sales and then sales and marketing as the company grew from $2M to $160M annual run rate and went from basement start-up to publicly traded NASDAQ company.

Before he joined Onyx, Eben was a petroleum geophysicist with Amoco.

Eben received his B.A. Magna Cum Laude with High Honors in 1988 from Dartmouth College, and a M.S. in Geophysics in 1989 from Stanford University.

Dr. Tom Driscoll serves as the Director of the MCC, leading the metamaterials research and development effort happening inside Intellectual Ventures Laboratories, as well as coordinating business development efforts led by the Invention Science Fund. Tom Driscoll received his B.S. in physics from Harvey Mudd, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from University of California, San Diego with a concentration in condensed matter and electromagnetic metamaterials, and holds an Adjunct Professor position at Duke University.

Results oriented financial executive who leads all aspects of financial, operations and administrative functions including finance, human resources, legal, IT and facilities. Paul brings 30 years of corporate financial and operational leadership and public company CFO experience to rapidly growing pre-IPO and post-IPO technology companies. Sale of Silver Tail Systems to EMC (2012); Narus to Boeing (2010) and Buzzsaw to Autodesk (2001)  Public company CFO (NASDAQ: IPIX, CCAI, TCSI, TSCC) Two Initial public offerings and three Secondary public offerings Raised preferred stock, bank debt and convertible venture debt w/ warrants Outstanding technical accounting, SOX 404 and SEC reporting skills Extensive negotiations with international companies in the U.S., Europe, Canada, India, the Middle East and Japan  SAAS, Software, services, internet, security and telecommunications industries Operating and Sales experience throughout the USA, UK, Ireland, Israel, India, Japan, the Netherlands and the Middle East
