PURPOSE
The Clinical Quality Coordinator RN, will drive consistency, efficient process and share best practices, in a collaborative effort with the provider and large or complex groups, designed to facilitate a minimum 4 stars quality performance.
The Clinical Quality coordinator RN will be provider facing and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Attend monthly or joint operating committee meetings and develop recommendations for quality improvement. This position is responsible for quality performance in their assigned region and will work collaboratively with the market team and their leadership in a matrix relationship.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Analyzing financial, utilization and performance data to identify opportunities to drive improvement in quality and/or reduction in total cost of care.
Completes scorecard creation and reconciliation of provider performance based on contractual terms
Analyzes utilization data to reconcile providers disputes
Design and contribute to the development of provider reporting packages to help providers understand their overall performance
Partners with finance team to conduct impact analysis and modeling for new values base models.
Contributes to developing solutions to operational gaps.
Monitors value base model performance to identify opportunities to enhance model design based on internal and external feedback and performance data.
Experience in Medicaid and Medicaid managed care.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's Degree Nursing (ADN) NM and/or a compact state. In lieu of RN license, Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) with 5+ years of experience in HEDIS/STAR programs acceptable
4+ years of healthcare experience
2+ years of experience in provider-facing interactions
Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheets.
Ability to review clinical data and provide recommendations for improvement
75% local travel and valid NM Driver's License
Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in managing care operations, provider reimbursement and analytics and value-based care

Responsibilities
Under the direction and supervision of the Regional Administrator the Clinic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the processing of patient payments, preparation of certain patient and insurance billing, purchase orders, and/or documentation for financial disbursement and reimbursements. Assures accurate and timely preparation of reports. Ensures that all administrative tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner and that Clinic Operations are flowing efficiently. The Clinic Coordinator has access to personal data regarding individual patients and families, and/or sensitive company financial data. It is essential to maintain a high level of confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
The Clinic Coordinator is responsible for managing the clinic operations. This position is responsible for the oversight of patient scheduling, clinic complaints, staff issues, financial reporting, various clinic inspections, the overall health and safety of clinic operations, team huddles and facilitating monthly staff meetings. This position also includes training and mentoring staff and balancing the end of month financial reports.
Minimum requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: 1 year of management and customer service experience in related field required.

Performs daily responsibilities to meet the needs of potential donors, donors, donor families, potential donor families, hospital personnel, physicians, and the OPO. Provides rapid on-site response to referrals. Primary responsibilities will occur in the assigned facility where employed. Coordinates and assists in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management. Assists in arranging transportation for organ recovery teams. Coordinates surgical recovery/packaging and arranges transportation of organs for transplant and/or research. Possesses a working knowledge of pulsatile preservation. Manages all lab specimens for shipment and delivery to laboratories in accordance with established policies.
Provides support to Hospital Development Coordinator, in the assigned facility, to identify formal and informal leaders, assesses their respective roles, degree of influence and needs. Works collaboratively with these leaders and utilizes their expertise to improve and promote donation. Assists in policy and procedure development. Functions as an expert clinical resource for the hospital regarding organ and tissue donation.
Participates in decision-making programs and committees in the hospital that have an influence on organ donation, promoting donation and seeking opportunities for further collaboration. Facilitates the donation process.
Maintains high visibility by conducting rounds to all critical care units with medical teams and functioning as the designated resource within the hospital for all issues related to organ donation. Provides donor and referral follow-up to appropriate hospital staff one-on-one or by post-recovery conferences.
In partnership with the In-House Donation Specialist (when applicable), develops, provides and evaluates in-house training and in-service educational programs on all aspects of the donation process for hospital staff. Also, collects and reports donation outcome data to various levels of clinical and administrative hospital staff. Documents hospital activities, updates hospital plans, goals, and critical issues in a timely manner on a regular basis.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver license required and ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements. May be required to use privately owned vehicle during the scope of company business.

Key responsibilities this position will perform include:
Determines family dynamics and assesses the familys understanding of the patients prognosis when appropriate to initiate the donation discussion.
Initiates the donation discussion and authorization process for potential organ and tissue donor families prior to, during and after death declaration. Provides families with the detailed information required to give legal informed authorization for anatomical donation.

The Outpatient Lactation Coordinator is responsible for establishing and overseeing lactation consultation in the outpatient setting to CHRISTUS St. Vincent patients. The Outpatient Lactation Program is intended to provide safe, family-centered patient care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating lactation plans for the breastfeeding/chest-feeding dyad, as well as for the pumping parent. The program is fully collaborative with the patient, patient's family, significant others, and members of the health care team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Function as a Subject Matter Expert in one or more process areas.
- Analyze data submitted for Independent Medical Review.
- Conduct fact finding and analyses on those cases deemed complex in nature or requiring adjudication; apply established procedures where the nature of the system, feasibility, computer equipment and reporting tools have not already been decided.
- Track and meet required deadlines for complex cases or other assigned tasks.
- Assist leadership through research of data and/or authoring reports.
- Analyze data using all applicable state law, state regulations, process documents, and other sources as defined by the client contract.
- Work independently on specific situations or on a team to resolve problems and deviations according to current established practices; and obtains advice where precedents are unclear or not available from the client.
- Answer and respond to phone calls/emails from participants in the Independent Medical Review process.
- Assist others or provide on-the-job training or act as a mentor to production staff.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent required.
- 2-4 years of related professional experience required.
- Experience in a medical office and/or with medical insurance preferred.
- Ability to commit to a two (2) week training schedule of 8:30am - 5:00pm EST Monday - Friday required.
