The Electrical & Mechanical (E&M 1) position provides electrical and mechanical maintenance work in addition to supporting field operations for the CHICAP Pipeline system which is operated by BP US Terminal and Pipelines (T&P). The E&M 1 role is a multi-craft position focused on electrical and mechanical duties. This position specifically will primarily be required to perform Operations and Maintenance duties. In addition, the individual will support Damage Prevention effort to are pipeline infrastructure as required. Individual will play a key role protecting our pipeline system from 3rd party damage. This position will be officed out of our Mokena Station in Mokena, Illinois. The E&M 1 technician will be responsible for pipeline assets that are in the counties of Cook, Will, Kankakee and Ford in Illinois.

Electrical Workers are separated into 4 classifications/categories, namely Entry Level, Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3. In general, Electrical Workers are responsible for wiring, assembling, connecting, and testing (specifically not including testing required during the commissioning process) electrical components on railcars under varying levels of supervision (depending on classification) while following drawings, schematics, procedures, and other written documentation, instructions, directives, and protocols. How much do we pay? New hires for the E&M 1 position start at an hourly rate of $42.37.
