The Machine Tool Operations Electrical Apprentice is expected to:
Learn and carry out all Electrical Equipment Builds to support the Blades and Razors Process & Engineering Group.

Ability to Bend and install Electrical Conduits

Pass Massachusetts Journeyman Electrical Exam at completion of apprenticeship.
Build and commission New and Existing production Equipment.
Travel based on business needed, as necessary.
Handle and/or move hazardous and non-hazardous materials according to safety guidelines.
Maintain industry/company standards relative to work procedures and tool/machine maintenance.
In order to perform the work described above in our manufacturing atmosphere, plant technicians use basic hand and power tools; lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bend; enter confined spaces; and stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time. Further, technicians have and are able to display skills in manufacturing processes, including operating, maintaining and cleaning automated equipment; maintaining accurate records and data; strong technical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and knowledge of computers!
Additionally, the safety of Technicians is of great importance to Procter & Gamble. Technicians will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment, such as safety shoes, ear protection, and eye protection.

Conduct periodic inspections/audits of departmental facilities, laboratories, and utilities. Address issues and notify management as applicable
Prepare and paint walls and woodwork. May include patching walls as necessary
Perform custodial duties as required and maintain good housekeeping and safety in work areas
Complete preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements, and update work order status in real time through CMMS systems
Submit P-card receipts and ensure that appropriate documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner
Ensure disposal areas are kept clean and in a safe condition
Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities

Education and/or Experience
Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Basic skills such as Internet searches, use of email systems, electronic manuals, electronic learning, etc.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must hold an active Massachusetts Journeyman's Electricians License
Other Skills and Abilities
A minimum two or more years hand on experience in the Electrical Trade industry
Knowledge of local and national electrical codes are required
Must conform to all city, state, and federal license and certification requirements
Must be able to read and work from blueprints and schematic diagrams
Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools
Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed

Must be able to respond to emergencies as needed
Must be able to work off ladders, staging, and power platforms
