Basic Qualifications :

Additional Information :

Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine material requirements or assembly instructions
Assemble electrical systems and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or conduit using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment
Run wire and cable according to schematics and blueprints.
Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications
Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths
Drill or tap holes in specified equipment locations to mount control units or to provide openings for elements, wiring, or instruments.
Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan, review work activities, or to resolve production problems
Inspect or test wiring installations, assemblies, or circuits for resistance factors or for operation and record results
Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified

Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Electrical Test Technician is responsible for completing electrical testing of products during the manufacturing process based on established testing procedures.
What a typical day looks like:
Follow AC/DC schematics and wiring diagrams to do testing of main electrical distribution AC/DC systems
Perform testing on various systems including HVAC system, lighting, receptacles, fans, fire alarm systems, battery system, and meggering of cables
Work closely with engineering and production team members to ensure accurate, efficient and timely execution of required testing work
Be able to troubleshoot assembly, wiring and testing problems
Drafts detailed technical reports to present findings; based on findings, recommends modifications needed to correct production problems
Perform other related duties as assigned
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred.
2+ years' experience in electrical testing or related field
Knowledge in testing of three phase AC and DC control circuits.
Good working knowledge of standard electrical testing and measuring equipment
Knowledge of Electrical Safety Procedures and NEC Codes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discuss product flaws in a constructive and positive manner.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare test reports and proposals.
What the physical requirements are:

Basic Qualifications :
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Ability to perform maintenance on food preparation and holding appliances/equipment. Understanding of and ability to operate under Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines and other food safety/sanitary guidelines. Must also be able to troubleshoot and repair gas and steam systems applied in commercial kitchen equipment.

Keen troubleshooting skills and comfortable working alone or in a team.
Ability to evaluate the scope of a job, resolve needed parts/materials, and order through authorized vendors
Expertise using common hand tools, meters, gauges and other associated test and measurement equipment, as well as ability to measure current, voltage and amperage
Proficiency in the basic math skills needed to do the job, differentiate colors, digital literacy, and full understanding of the National Electric Code
Stamina and the physical ability to undertake the job. You might bicycle, bend, kneel, climb, push vehicles to re-position them for repair, work with arms/hands above shoulder level for an extended period of time, climb (sometimes as high as 200 ft.) and more, all on a regular basis
At least 18 years of age
You will be required to use 2-way radios, learn CMMS (MAXIMO work order system), attend/pass compliance and other training sessions to ensure accurate maintenance documentation
Electricians may work outdoors in all weather conditions, in an industrial workshop, in kitchens with wet/slippery surfaces, and may have occasional exposure to high temperatures, noise levels, and fumes
In addition to the physical tasks listed above, Electronic Technicians may need to push/pull and/or lift up to 10 lbs. constantly, up to 25 lbs. frequently, up to 75 lbs. occasionally and rarely up to/over 100 lbs.
Schedule Availability - Must be open to any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including weekends, holidays, with any combination of days off.
Additional Information :
Those assigned to the Electrician position are required to attend an annual Hearing Conservation training class and Lead Awareness class. They are also required to submit to an annual audiometric exam and a semi-annual Lead/Zinc blood test.

Shifts are typically at night, and individuals must have availability to work Sunday through Saturday, any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including holidays, and must be open to any days off.
