The Director of Metallurgy and Engineering will assist the technical teams in NPI efforts and assists in business development efforts as a technical representative for all necessary customers, including customer visits if necessary. Education and Experience * B.S. or higher in Metallurgy from an accredited college or university required. * Minimum of ten (10) years working experience as a Metallurgist/Materials Engineer. * Demonstratable supervisory and team leadership skills preferred. Other duties may be assigned. * Lead technical organization (including metallurgy and design engineering) * Refine policies and procedures that standardize and align our operations. o Manage and direct technical staff members. o Conduct analysis to identify and implement continual improvement activities o Represent our organization to customers, suppliers and certifying agencies. * Conduct metallurgical investigations relating to process control and product development. * Provide material recommendations for new product development and to meet customer and/or industry requirements. * Organize, perform and/or supervise failure analysis. * Write accurate and persuasive technical reports detailing causes and corrective actions associated with analysis of data and issues. * Write dispositions of material on non-conformance issues. * Direct material/product analysis including preparation of samples and analysis of data. * Work in conjunction with QA to conduct training as well as to design and implement Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes. * Analyze production and material limitations as well as the standardizations of manufacturing specifications when required. * Sample systems, procedures, and statistical techniques; design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. * Interface with all other functions within the organization. * Provide technical expertise for issues associated with the engineering, procurement, and use of raw materials.

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform a variety of maintenance, repair and continuous improvement functions on various plant equipment with limited direction and guidance. Support manufacturing operations in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion. Safely, professionally and efficiently, complete machine repairs and rebuilds per line-up and documentation. Qualified candidates must have experience maintaining and troubleshooting heavy forging presses, manipulators, furnace combustion components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components like pumps, compressor, directional, servo and proportional valves, heat exchangers, filters and cooling tower equipment. Basic electrical knowledge for safe working with various industrial equipment is a must.
