The Surgical Technologist 2 prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures. Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment. May be required to transport patient to and from the operating room. The Paramedic performs specific functions as defined by approved medical protocols under the direction of the attending ED physician and assists the nursing staff in care of the patient in the Emergency Department. The Paramedic reports directly to the ED Nursing Director and has general oversight from the ED Medical Director. The position relies on education and training to complete responsibilities within the scope of practice as a licensed Paramedic. Trauma and injury assistance is provided as directed including but not limited to cervical spinal mobilization, eye irrigation, splints, spinal immobilization, traction splints, wound care, etc. Airway management is conducted as directed to include but not limited to bag valve-mask, nasopharyngeal airway insertion, open and maintain airways and oral suctioning, oral/nasal intubation, oxygen administration, suctioning, etc. Patients are transported, ensuring the safety of the patient, patient identification, use of bed rails, and attachment of the transport defibrillator monitor. Phlebotomy is performed for assigned patients utilizing proper patient identification and labeling as evidenced by the lack of mislabeled specimens. All patient care activities are accurately documented per documentation standards; Assistance is provided to the healthcare team with the documentation process as needed. As a Clinical Technician, you will be one of the most consistent supports in a client's recovery journey-helping create the safety and structure that makes healing possible in a trauma-informed residential setting. Requirements What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional in a residential setting • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications: • One (1) year of experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, residential care, or corrections • College-level coursework in human services or related fields • CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding) The above statements describe the general nature of the work being performed.
