Job Summary
Responsible for washing all dishes, pots and pans and placing them in the proper location. The Steward oversees chemical pars related to the dish pit and cleanliness of the restaurant and alerts his/her direct supervisor when supplies are low. Clean designated surface areas and empty trash, composting and recycling to help maintain a safe and clean work area. Assists with bussing tables and other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS-
This position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation, different venues and/or locations.
Ability to stand for 8 hours at a time
Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on a constant basis.
Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on an occasional basis.
Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on a constant basis.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.

Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe, supportive environment for clients by:
Monitoring facility to maintain safety of clients & staff
Assisting clients with shelter routines & procedures
Helping clients work through possible discord with others clients
Preparing simple meals and/or serve prepared foods, following all food safety guidelines.
Intervening in client crises.
Keeping shelter clean and restocked with supplies.
Education and experience:
Two years human services work or volunteer experience, preferably with people living in poverty or experiencing homelessness.
Experience working with a diverse population, with sensitivity to differences in socioeconomic status, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender expression, race, age, physical and/or mental illness.
Previous training in trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, mental health first aid preferred.
Requirements:
Ability to work independently as part of a 2-person team (no direct supervision during overnight shifts.)
Ability to maintain clear personal and professional boundaries.
Ability to work effectively & calmly in constantly changing and sometimes demanding or chaotic settings.
Ability to remain alert and on duty throughout the duration of shifts (no sleeping during shift).
Ability to communicate well both orally and in written form, and follow detailed instructions.
Basic literacy & computer skills: Microsoft suite including Outlook and internet navigation.
Physical ability to lift at least 35 pounds on a regular basis; ability to sit, stand, bend, climb single flight of stairs, reach, type, see at close/distant range, hear at close/distant range, and perform cleaning duties.
Current food handlers permit, or ability to complete food handlers training immediately after hire.
Reliable and consistent transportation during inclement weather, including icy roads.
CPR/First Aid certified or ability to complete training immediately after hire.

Job Summary
The ED Technician is responsible for performing direct patient care and related activities in the Emergency Department. Identifies and reports cases and problems appropriate for secondary review to Case Management Department leadership, the Medical Director, or Physician Advisor.
•Resource Management; Assures prudent utilization of all resources (fiscal, human, environmental, equipment and services) by evaluating the options available and balancing cost and quality to assure the optimal clinical and financial outcomes.
Assesses the appropriateness and timeliness of level of care, diagnostic testing and clinical procedures, quality and clinical risk issues, and documentation completeness.
Maintains and documents third-party payers' authorizations, contacts, and transactions for individual patients.
•Accountability: Accepts responsibility and accountability for achievement of optimal outcomes within their scope of practice.
Seeks out information and resources and uses creative problem solving for complex discharge planning, quality of care, and utilization issues. Explores new resources when the opportunities for the patient are absent or in short supply.
Continually evaluates case management services and client outcomes.
•Professionalism: Acquires and maintains knowledge and competence related to the expectations of their position and practices within their scope.
Studies information available to remain informed of reimbursement modalities, community resources, review systems, and clinical and legal issues that affect patients and providers of care.
Serves as a resource and provides education to patients, physicians, and professional staff on levels of care, quality-of-care issues, and regulatory concerns.
Provides orientation and mentoring to new staff.
Works in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and with the unique requirements of reimbursement systems.
Is knowledgeable about and acts in accordance with laws and procedures regarding patient confidentiality and release of information, Americans with Disabilities Act, other laws protecting rights, and worker's compensation laws when applicable to the case manager's practice.
Performs other duties requested by the department leadership.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Graduate of an accredited Bachelors Nursing degree program or completion of an accredited Nursing program with a Bachelors degree or higher in a health care field Or
Applicants without a BSN degree must actively pursue and attain a BSN within three years of hire. Continued employment by Swedish beyond three years is contingent upon attaining the BSN degree
Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
3 years Registered nursing experience in an acute care hospital
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year Hospital case management experience
