JOB DESCRIPTION:
+ Program administration responsibilities include managing a territory of CARES program participants across the United States and providing them with training and support to encourage and enhance participation and data collection.
+ The CARES Program Associate will work with CARES faculty and program staff to develop and train personnel participating in the program, provide oversight for participating communities to ensure consistency in the data collection, auditing, and reporting processes and assist end users with data analysis.
+ Provide outreach to potential project partners which include local and regional healthcare organization, as well as community-based partnerships.
+ Analyse data and work with other CARES staff to generate annual national and state-specific reports.
+ Coordinate communication and meetings with CARES partners.
+ Perform webinar demonstrations on software functionality and processes to multiple stakeholders and end users.
+ Manage logistics for CARES Oversight Board and Advisory Council meetings.
+ Develop PR and outreach materials (brochures, newsletters, website, and annual report) that describe CARES activities and capabilities.
+ Represent CARES in discussions with current and potential partners, project sponsors, and donors.
+ Registry Program Management: Liaise with project sponsors about contracts and progress reports.
+ Work within a team environment.
+ Assist and advise on advisory boards and scientific and ethical reviews.
+ Assist and advise on CARES registry database management and provide analysis of data.
+ Travel is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A bachelor's degree in public health or related field.
+ Two years of professional experience in a related field such as community health, research, or information systems management.
+ Requires previous project management experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Purpose: The Department of Health Economics is seeking a credentialed health actuary who is looking for a unique opportunity to step outside of traditional actuarial roles! This position would drive high-visibility impactful analysis and would be responsible for developing and driving medical cost improvement strategies for UPMC Health Plan in collaboration with leadership. This includes analyzing medical cost utilization and unit cost data, identifying top trend drivers and affordability opportunities, developing strategies across cross-functional teams such as Clinical, Network, Finance, and Payment Integrity, supporting the execution of those strategies, and evaluating program and initiative outcomes. The Director of Medical Cost Economics will manage one or more analysts and will require a diverse set of skills and experience, including data and analytics expertise, broad-based business and health economics acumen, a strategic mindset, and an ability to influence and leverage cross-functional teams in a non-traditional actuarial environment. This is a work-from-home position located anywhere within the continental US with the expectation to travel into Pittsburgh (2-3 times a year) for meetings/conferences. Responsibilities:
+ Partner with Health Plan senior leadership for creative problem-solving and strategic decision-making involving medical cost improvement strategies.
+ Lead the development of detailed actuarial and financial models which communicate near and long-term projections of financial performance of new and ongoing initiatives and clinical programs to facilitate corporate decision-making and the development of strategies and goals.
+ Forecast and interpret financial results, including variances from budget, to help identify medical cost improvement opportunities and potential risks.
+ Develop and gain support for data-based recommendations with team members from product, clinical, network, and strategy functions.
+ Bring clarity to complex problems using exceptional communication skills when engaging with senior leadership and technical audiences.
+ Apply an understanding of complex actuarial concepts, methods, and applications in a variety of situations.

Presents coding and documentation education, which may include in-person classes and virtual offerings, for initial training and continuing education purposes to both coders and clinicians. Supports the development of coding educational presentations, tools and documents.
Identifies, trends and reports coder educational needs to ensure appropriate coding and documentation educational opportunities are met. Collaborates with Professional Coding department leadership and applicable team members to enhance coding educational programs by identifying, developing and providing one-on-one, follow-up and refresher sessions.

+ The Senior Associate Director of Development, Lead reports to the Director, Development and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for marketing new and existing programs of The Carter Center.
+ Working with the Director, Development and other Development staff, this position manages fundraising for a portfolio of domestic and international projects, which requires significant short and long-term donor funding.
+ Donors include foundations, corporations, governments (foreign and U.S.), and multilateral organizations, as well as individuals. Writes and ensures the submission of timely and compelling proposals and complex narrative and financial reports, working with staff across the Center.
+ Interacts with donors, making and responding to inquiries. Supervises a team of development staff who are responsible for fundraising and grants management for select Carter Center projects, and he/she designs strategies and sets implementation goals and objectives for his/her team.
+ Assists the Director, Development in the annual plan and budgeting process for the Development Department and works with select senior Program staff to develop short and long-term resource mobilization strategies associated with select budgets.
+ Serves as a liaison with senior staff of other Development departments (Individual Giving, Stewardship, Events, Annual Fund, Major Gifts, Leadership Gifts, Direct Mail/Marketing and Planned Giving).
+ Designs and leads fundraising trips with program directors and staff. Domestic and international travel is required.
+ Due to the travel locations, Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) will be required.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ A bachelor's degree

FACULTY & CAMPUS PARTNER COLLABORATION:
+ Provides consultation and support to faculty regarding student academic concerns.
+ Collaborates with campus partners including the Center for Counseling & Well-being, Department of Accessibility Services, and Student Support & Success Initiatives to coordinate student support.
+ Participates in ongoing assessment of student success initiatives and contribute to data-informed decision-making.
+ Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ A bachelor's degree in education or discipline related to academic advising assignment and three years of related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
+ Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and data collection and analysis experience is preferred.
+ A master's degree is preferred.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
