This role bridges engineering, BIM/VDC, and field execution - ensuring models and designs are constructible, fabrication-ready, and aligned with installation workflows. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the technical and digital delivery lead for plan/specification, design-assist, and design-build electrical projects. Lead the development and coordination of electrical models and designs including one-line diagrams, power distribution systems, lighting layouts, controls, and equipment placement while ensuring compliance with NEC and applicable local codes. Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to produce coordinated, installation-ready models and drawings, and lead electrical BIM coordination to achieve clash-free integration with other trades. Drive constructability reviews and proactively identify installation constraints, access issues, sequencing conflicts, and productivity risks prior to field execution. Collaborate closely with field leadership and prefabrication teams to incorporate labor efficiency, modularization, and fabrication strategies into design and modeling workflows. Partner with project managers, estimators, and operations leadership to align BIM deliverables with project schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, and construction sequencing. Establish and enforce modeling standards, coordination workflows, and quality control processes across projects. Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, and client-facing discussions to provide technical leadership during preconstruction and execution phases. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Technology, or related discipline - or equivalent field-based electrical construction experience. 5+ years of experience supporting electrical construction projects in BIM, VDC, engineering, or design-build environments. Demonstrated experience supporting constructability-driven modeling and field coordination workflows. Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage direct reports. PE License is preferred but not required. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
