**Position Summary:**
The Engineering Manager provides transformational leadership that inspires a high performing engineering group. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Develop the abilities of upper level engineers and supervisors and assist with departmental performance planning and personnel issues.
- Develop wage plans, associates training and leadership development to support department needs.
- Manage group budget including establishment, meeting targets, analyzing variances and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
- Assist with strategic planning for functional area, establish objectives and define and prioritize key projects to support the plan.
- Coordinate with other functional supervisors and managers to plan projects and allocate resources.
- Communicate department and company strategies with department.
- Communicate departmental project status to upper level management (i.e. monthly reports)
- Writes technical reports to document results of thorough investigations; gives presentations to own and other groups to describe problems and recommended solutions.
- Advises others in company how to solve technical problems; can lead larger team efforts to solve problems that involve multi-departmental or interdisciplinary effort

Requirements
· Leads the engineering and project management efforts on assigned projects and is responsible for coordinating the individual Engineering Disciplines such that the most cost-effective total project solution for executing engineering work is achieved

· Coordinate inspection and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for Power Distribution Centers and control enclosure buildings with the GM, MM and quality control inspector

· Perform all key duties & responsibilities set forth in QAP 30.1.3.
· Work directly with the GM & MM to set project priorities, schedules, workloads, and personnel requirements.

· Oversee all building shipments, loading, offloading, and site installations to insure successful project completion.

Responsibilities
