Annual Base Salary for newly appointed CBPOs varies as follows:
GS-5 and GS-7 $40,332 - $109,952 per year
Locality pay varies by duty location.Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary. Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency. * Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in emergency services management. To include supervisor and/or management experience.
* Or an equivalent combination of relevant training, education and experience.
* Must maintain a valid driver's license
* Must possess and maintain the following certifications:
* State of Florida Firefighter
* State of Florida Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or State of Florida Paramedic, depending on assignment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Ability to plan, direct and manage activities within a division of the Department, including fire suppression, fire and life safety code compliance, training, apparatus/equipment maintenance, emergency medical services and mitigating hazardous materials incidents.
* Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization.
* Ability to provide internal/external guidance and customer assistance via all forms of communication.
* Ability to use computers for data entry, word processing, and/or accounting purposes.

Position Overview:

As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club Operations team, the Dock Master greets members and works on the docks. We are looking for customer-focused friendly and upbeat individuals. This position is part-time and requires availability on weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions:
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
Anticipate and address guests' service needs
Thank guests with genuine appreciation
Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette
Manage the check-in and check-out process using a handheld tablet
Perform equipment checks to make sure all necessary equipment is on board
Clean and maintain vessels and Club location according to company standards
Daily clerical work to prepare reservation logs, fuel logs and weather reports
Familiarize yourself with local waters in order to provide basic guidance to members
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Follow all company policies and procedures
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors

Required Qualifications:
Pass a background check and drug screen
Valid driver's license and good driving record
High school diploma
At least 18 years of age

Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets
Positive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervised
Adhere to all safety policies
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in or around boats
Working Conditions:
Work outside in the state's elements and stand for an extended period of time
Comfortable with physical demands of the role including bending, kneeling, balancing and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds
Work in a marina setting on docks that may be fixed or floating
Work near and on the water
Safely move on, off and in vessels during various tide and weather conditions
The anticipated pay rate for this position is $14/hr.
