Regularly develop and produce enterprise weather content for Local 3 Now, our streaming platform, mainly during the two-day weekday shift. Fill in for weekday meteorologists during vacation and personal time off. Prepare the graphic look of the weather reports through the use of Baron Weather Systems for on-air, online, and mobile. Seek current weather information from the National Weather Service and other reputable meteorology services. Communicate consistently with newscast and digital producers. Livestream and social media posts during active weather situations Continuously work on all on-air skills, including lives, voice, and communication. Generate ideas to the producers and the Assignment Manager for weather-related stories and live remotes. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or Journalism preferred, or currently pursuing meteorology accreditation. Must maintain a professional appearance and manner. Excellent oral and written communication; strong public speaking skills. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. The Safety Specialist assists in the operations of the Office of Environmental Health and Safety. The incumbent is responsible for supporting all aspects of the (1) fire and life safety program, which prevent loss of life, injury, and property damage due to fire and life safety emergencies and (2) health and safety program - which includes laboratory (biological, chemical, and radiation), occupational, and general health and safety, which prevent loss of life, injury, and property damage due to unsafe conditions.
