POSITION DESCRIPTION HGL is currently seeking a qualified mid-level Environmental Scientist to support environmental compliance and field operations for the St. Louis FUSRAP project. This role will operate under the direction of the Project Compliance Manager and will play a key part in ensuring adherence to environmental regulations throughout remediation and construction activities. The position will also require collecting general field data, environmental sampling (water), and performing daily data entry and analysis tasks. Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and clients to achieve project goals. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed. Conduct site assessments and environmental impact analyses to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and environmental impact statements to clients and regulatory agencies. Maintain project documentation, including reports, permits, and certifications. Collaborate with business development teams to identify new opportunities and potential clients. As an Environmental Project Manager with Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be involved with environmental projects and provide client-focused customer service in the manufacturing, energy, mining, and real-estate markets. You'll perform tasks such as, due diligence / environmental site assessments, compliance audits, permitting, and multi-media site investigations regarding soil, sediments, surface water, groundwater and soil vapor including drilling oversight and logging of borings, and design for corrective actions.
