About the Role
This is a skilled position requiring the individual to manage and help lead the company in being proactive in environmental compliance reporting directly to the Environmental Director. We seek a detail-oriented, self-motivated employee with strong communication skills to manage environmental compliance relative to aggregates and asphalt production. The successful candidate must be capable of establishing and fostering relationships with company personnel, regulatory agencies, and consultants.
Responsibilities
Assist the Environmental Director with implementing all company environmental policies and initiatives
Assist in obtaining all local, state and federal environmental operating permits required for aggregate and/or asphalt production facilities
Ensure company environmental compliance at all production facilities through education and training of company personnel
Perform compliance reviews and inspections of company facilities to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental permits, rules and regulations
Ensure records and appropriate documentation is being maintained at each aggregate facility to ensure compliance with operating permit conditions
Administer facility programs for solid waste, wastewater, stormwater and air emissions
Coordinate and complete periodic regulatory reporting for air emissions and stormwater and process wastewater discharges
Coordinate and complete required annual reporting for facilities under EPCRA Section 312 (Tier II)
Research and apply existing and proposed local, state and federal regulations to keep management aware of how regulations will impact the company
Coordinate any emergency spill response actions if necessary to minimize impacts to the environment and complete remediation efforts
Miscellaneous duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors of Science Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Science or a related field
Five years of environmental compliance responsibility is preferred
Knowledge and understanding of MSHA regulations that govern aggregate facilities is preferred
Maintaining a current Visible Emissions Evaluation Certification is required within 6 months of hire
Required Skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels within the company
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist supervisors with other duties as required
Must be able to work independently without close supervision
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
Must be willing to travel and work away from home as required
Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience is required

As a FISH AND WILDLIFE BIOLOGIST your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
* Independently conducts consultations pursuant to Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended, focused on activities related to Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) projects in Cameron County, Texas.
* Plans, investigates, conducts, and reviews on-site ecological investigations on a wide variety of complex and diverse Federal land and water resource development proposals to determine their effects on fish and wildlife resources.
* Participates in diverse, complex, and multi-disciplinary planning efforts with public and private groups and state, local, and Federal agencies to achieve Service policies, objectives, and goals.
* Negotiates mitigation of complex project impacts with project proponents and regulatory agencies and develops reasonable and prudent alternatives and conservation recommendations or measures.
* Monitors projects for compliance with policies, standards, guidelines, agreements, and plans; makes recommendations for action to assure compliance.

Experience includes: 1) conducting investigations of moderate complexity to determine the impact of various land and water development projects upon the fish and/or wildlife resources of an area; 2) assisting in developing comprehensive fish and/or wildlife management plans; 3) assisting in preparing and reviewing biological implications of environmental assessment/impact statements or comprehensive resource planning reports to evaluate environmental consequences of proposed actions; and 4) implementing federal environmental laws (i.e., Endangered Species Act, specifically Sections 7 and 10; Clean Water Act; Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act; National Environmental Policy Act), regulations, and policies involving natural resource issues. * Completed 3 years of graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree in wildlife biology, ecology, or a directly related field appropriate to this position; OR

Minimum Qualification [GS-12]
* One year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility equivalent to grade GS-11 in the Federal service. Experience includes: 1) independently conducting biological or ecological investigations into complex consequences of proposed land or water projects, on endangered species and their habitats; 2) negotiating alternative actions or mitigation measures; 3) developing habitat conservation or restoration projects; 4) serving as a technical advisor on the Endangered Species Act for other staff, government agencies, land owners, private interest groups, etc.; and 5) preparing biological portions of environment assessment/impact statements or comprehensive resource planning reports. Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our growing team! In this role, you will be a lead in overseeing and mitigating risks associated with the full program scope of a large-scale, multi-billion-dollar complex infrastructure construction project. We are seeking passionate, skilled, and experienced professionals to join a major program and construction management team that is dedicated to supporting a large government customer in successfully delivering on a significant infrastructure project central to the United States' border security programs. In our anticipated role, Parsons will provide Owner Agent Construction Management Services including Program Management, Construction Management, Risk Management, Scheduling, Cost Estimating, Progress Reporting, Construction Quality Assurance, Safety, and other supporting services to achieve program success.
This individual will be responsible for coordinating with the stakeholders and construction contractors; implementing environmental protection plans; coordinating and supervising environmental surveys, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Will spend a significant amount of time on site observing conditions and Contractor activities to ensure that environmental and permitting commitments are met, especially with regard to sensitive environmental areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Facilitate small group activities in a camp setting.

Position Title: Hill Country Chapter, Texas Master Naturalists (the "Chapter"), Audio Visual Assistant, Work-Study Reports To: Frank Garcia, AV Team Lead for the Chapter SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES Attends monthly Chapter meetings to assist AV Team Lead in use of Zoom and various AV equipment to enable "hybrid" Chapter meetings.
The student would help with set up and take down of the AV equipment before and after the Chapter meeting as well as staffing the Zoom chat room during the meeting. The student might be asked to help troubleshoot AV, Zoom, or other IT issues that may arise during the meeting.
Chapter meetings are typically held on the fourth Monday of each month starting at 6:00 p.m. and ending at 8:00 p.m. so the student would typically report to work at 5:00 p.m. and be done around 8:30 p.m.
We would also ask for up to four hours to train/mentor AV Team Lead with using correct protocols with our AV equipment and practices for hybrid meetings if required
The Chapter meeting venues will rotate between Boerne, Kerrville, Fredericksburg, and Bandera. Exact locations are shown on the Chapter's website here:

Chapter meetings are usually attended by a total of 70 - 100 people, evenly split between in-person and online attendees.
Dress is casual. Snacks are usually available prior to meetings. Speakers cover various topics that may be of interest to students interested in wildlife biology or related fields.
