As an Environmental Services Technician, you'll play an essential part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
In this role, you'll be responsible for daily cleaning and restocking throughout the hospital and its facilities, following the standards set by our Environmental Services and Infection Prevention and Control departments.
These positions do require an every-other-weekend commitment as part of our regular scheduling.

Performs dust mopping and wet/microfiber mopping on hard surface floors.
Vacuums carpeted areas using an upright vacuum cleaner.
Handles and disposes of all waste streams, including regulated waste in the hospital.
Cleans and handles intravenous pumps (IV or Sigma Smart Pumps).
Cleans in-patient rooms daily.
Implements A.I.D.E.T. (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank You) and Greet and Feet techniques, understanding their impact on patient surveys.
Performs discharge and transfer cleaning in both in-patient and out-patient settings.
Follows isolation cleaning procedures, using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsible for cleaning offices, conference rooms, and furniture arrangement.
Proficient in cleaning procedures for laboratory settings.
Routinely cleans public and non-public restrooms and locker rooms.
Conducts between-case and terminal cleaning in special procedure areas.
Cleans the pharmacy clean (IV) room.
Reports facility repair issues (e.g., wall patching, ceiling tiles, leaks) to leadership and submits work orders as needed.
Maintains all equipment (cleaning carts, vacuums, pagers) following department guidelines.
Performs general maintenance of hard and soft flooring.
Adheres to safety procedures with chemicals and equipment use; reports discrepancies.
Reports injuries to leadership and submits appropriate injury reports.
Completes all duties proficiently and within designated time frames.
Participates in required training, meetings, and completes annual learning modules on time.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
HGL is currently seeking a qualified mid-level EnvironmentalScientist to support environmental compliance and field operations for the St. Louis FUSRAP project. POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure the use of proper aseptic technique during testing of controlled environments and utility systems including following aseptic gowning protocols and procedures.
Perform monitoring lab equipment and techniques (SAS, SMA, Met One particle counter, viable airborne monitoring (active and passive), total airborne particulate sampling, viable surface monitoring, personnel monitoring, and membrane filtration of water samples). Perform testing on Water for Injection (WFI) and gas sampling. Utilize laminar flow hood for some plate reading and testing procedures.
Document all work according to cGMP's.
Position is 70% on the manufacturing floor taking samples in specific production suites. 30% documentation and some basic lab work to incubate samples for further microbiological testing.
Work Environment:
Will work in clean room manufacturing environments, radioactive manufacturing environments, controlled environments, laboratory, and office area.
Shift: OT can be expected.
Combination of 1st and 2nd shift, 5-week rotating schedule repeating the following schedule:
Week 1: Mon-Th 6:00AM - 2:30PM
Week 2: Sat 5:00PM - 9:00PM, Sun-Wed 12:00PM - 9:30PM
Week 3: Sat 8:00AM - 11:00AM, Sun 5:00AM - 12:00PM, Mon-Wed 5:00AM - 3:30PM
Weeks 4-5: Mon-Fri 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Training will be primarily Monday - Friday on a set day shift schedule.
