Your role * Provide project task schedules for assigned projects which includes a list of all required environmental documentation and permits, prioritized by project baseline schedules;
* Provide project status updates at meetings and via tracking database;
* Evaluation of impacts from various types of projects on the natural environment;
* Coordinate with design professionals and overall project team for accurate depiction of natural resources on construction plans and to identify opportunities for avoiding and minimizing potential impacts;
* Perform field investigations of projects sites including wetland and stream delineations with functional assessments according to applicable methodologies;
* Perform GPS field mapping, post processing, and distribution of GPS-mapped resources in multiple formats;
* Document, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data on projects of varying complexity and size;
* Evaluate, map, and describe on-site habitats while identifying those potentially suitable to support protected species;
* Prepare documentation and technical reports detailing the findings of ecological surveys and coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies;
* Prepare special provisions and permit applications for various regulatory agencies, including the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS); Conduct site reviews with the USACE and/or other agencies and participate in project meetings.
About you
* EDUCATION: B.A./B.S. or M.S. in a field of Science to commensurate with hiring discipline. The preferred candidate would have two years' experience since Bachelor's degree or one years' experience with Master's degree.
* EXPERIENCE: 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.

Position Summary
EBI Consulting is seeking a full-time Project Scientist in the Site Investigation and Remediation (SIR) Services Group to conduct Phase II Subsurface Investigation and remediation projects for commercial real estate, lending, telecommunications, industrial, institutional, and public sector clientele. This position requires a strong understanding of and experience with site characterization, environmental sampling techniques and methodologies (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, soil vapor, indoor air, etc.), data analysis, remediation technologies, state and Federal environmental regulatory framework, and managing drilling subcontractors and laboratories. Additional experience is required in transactional due diligence associated with private sector and financial institutions, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
This position reports to the Senior Project Manager and is designated remote, with the understanding the successful candidate will work from an existing home office. This position will travel to client sites primarily in the Central Florida or Atlanta, GA metro markets approximately 50% of the week, so candidates need to already be established in this area and comfortable with both travel and working in a home office setting to be considered.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position required to travel approximately 85% of the time.
Coordinates the Annual Compliance Permit Program for all OSTDS facilities that are required to obtain an annual operating permit. Conducts field inspections to ensure proper operation. Maintains continuous surveillance for sources of pollution detrimental to public health/environment.
Reviews applications for individual OSTDS to determine soil characteristics and water table elevations. Determines topographical conditions by establishing benchmarks using calibrated instrumentation. Interprets technically complex soil morphology, establishes wet season water table elevations, and makes final decision on the possibility of using an individual OSTDS. Reviews wetland survey and issues specific recommendations for the proper location, construction, and maintenance of individual sewage disposal systems. Reviews and approves the design OSTDS for residential and commercial facilities based on gallons per day of sewage flow. Performs construction and final inspections of OSTDS to determine level of compliance with permit conditions. Reviews applications and project plans submitted by developers, engineers, and governmental entities as they relate to sewage disposal systems. Initiates necessary enforcement action, prepare variances, and works with the Environmental Manager on projects as directed.
While this is not a supervisory position, the incumbent acts as the lead inspector and assists with program monitoring to include tracking and assigning daily workload in the absence of the facilities program supervisor or the OSTDS supervisor. Assists with performing quality assurance inspections and plays a key role in training new employees and interns.
Investigates citizen complaint on water, sewage, or other environmental issues affecting community health/safety. Prepares preliminary enforcement actions for non-compliance by issuance of notice of violation (NOV).

Essential Functions • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, using appropriate designated engagement techniques. • Responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms and ancillary areas, to include, but notlimited to, bathrooms, public areas, corridors, medication storage rooms as directed and any other areas that may require attention using designated and appropriate chemicals and cleaning procedures. • Must have good working knowledge and be capable of accessing and using all department related technology systems, such as but not limited to, the Bed Management systems. • Replenishes supplies as needed, remove bio-medical waste, trash and soiled linen as required daily and changes cubicle/window curtains as needed. • Completes patient room and bathroom cleaning daily to accommodate discharges/admissions and overall cleanliness standards utilizing the approved proceduresfor patient room cleaning to include Bed Managementsystems where applicable. • Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge ofthe health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, equipment handling, and labor-saving products for all items within the healthcare environment for which tasked with servicing. • Adheres to all organization safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety. • Operates UV disinfection machine as needed. • Actively participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including but not limited to initiatives to, improve Customer Experience and cleanliness metrics. • Follows all infection prevention practices including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA) • Reports unsafe situations and turnsin Engineering Service Requestsforrepair. • Ability to communicate, read, and write in standard English asthisisthe main businesslanguage. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan;
Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability;
Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors;
Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing;
Data analysis, including preparing maps and figures using GIS/Environmental Visualization Software (EVS) applications, and database management;
Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
Review and manage written document production;
Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties;
Conduct fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction;
Direct multi-disciplinary project teams;
Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments;
Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, play a role supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring; and
Help broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or related field. (required)
Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
Professional registration. (i.e., P.G. or P.E.) (required)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
At least 7 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)
Proven leadership skills. (required)
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)

Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
