Provide administrative support for the undergraduate programs of the Chemistry Department. Work with the department head, and independently, oversee all administrative aspects of the undergraduate programs in the Chemistry Department including, but not limited to, schedule undergraduate courses, assign rooms and upload them into Banner, prepare and edit information for the general bulletin, develop needed administrative tools to further streamline department undergraduate program processes, update and track student performance metrics as designated by Chemistry Department Head. Work closely with the Undergraduate coordinator and the CEPS Center for Student Success as needed for undergraduate programs and academic advising.
Provide administrative support for the graduate programs of the Chemistry Department. With very limited guidance from the graduate coordinator, oversee all administrative aspects of the graduate programs in the Chemistry Department including, but not limited to, process applications, prepare acceptance/denial documents, communicate information to incoming students, track the progress of all students, interact with the Registrar to solve problems, maintain all department student records, prepare and edit information for the general bulletin, schedule graduate courses, assign rooms and upload them into Banner, maintain a complex database of all graduate student records, and develop needed administrative tools to further streamline department graduate program processes. Serve as liaison between students, faculty, Academic Affairs, International Students Office, etc.; and maintain database of graduate student metrics as directed by the Chemistry Department Head
Oversee the Chemistry Department's office operations. Under very limited supervision, administratively oversee the department's office operations, insuring exemplary customer service, problem resolution and intra-departmental communication. Provide administrative support to the annual reappointment, tenure, and promotion process and annual faculty review process, and manage faculty searches. Hire, train and supervise student workers in the department.
Provide administrative support for the Chemistry Department leadership. Anticipate and meet the needs of the Chemistry Department head, associate head, graduate coordinator, and committee chairs for administrative information including, but not limited to, prepare and process administrative documents, schedule and organize advisory board meetings, maintain a database of advisory board members, prepare minutes from faculty and advisory board meetings, maintain a donor database and prepare receipt/thank you letters, manage the distribution, collection and preparation of teaching evaluations, coordinate website maintenance, develop department newsletter, and coordinate with College personnel as needed.
Provide administrative support for the Chemistry Department physical plant. Under very limited supervision, manage the non-laboratory physical plant for the department including, but not limited to, manage room assignments for faculty, staff and students, including assigning phone numbers, etc., coordinate office maintenance and painting, identify office equipment needs. Coordinate laboratory physical plant needs of the department with faculty.

Assist with special projects as needed. Responsible for researching, developing and finalizing reports/surveys to the Dean's Office, administration and outside agencies. The University of Wyoming's School of Politics, Public Affairs, and International Studies (SPPAIS) invites applications for a full-time, benefited one-year non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Lecturer in the area of Public Law.
Minimum qualifications include a Masters degree to teach in the of the following areas: Constitutional Law (Civil Liberties, Institutional Powers, etc), Introduction to American and Wyoming Government, and other classes related to Public Law as needed by the department.
In addition, the candidate will also engage in service-related duties such as helping to revamp the online Intro to American & Wyoming Government courses (including creating videos and developing curriculum), assisting with the recruitment of students and participating in public events, presentation of research (if applicable), and other service-related duties as needed by the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach a 3/3 course load for the academic year
Teach effectively at both graduate and undergraduate levels
Engage in service activities related to the department which could include (but are not limited to) assisting with revising the online Introduction to American & Wyoming Government classes, curricular development, recruitment of students, participating in public events related to the 250th anniversary of the United States, and other service-related duties as needed by the department.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Division of Kinesiology & Health at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a non-tenure track position in exercise science. We invite applications from candidates who are interested in teaching exercise science courses, advising undergraduate students, and willing to contribute to the service of our division, college, and university. We also envision the candidate taking on responsibilities of managing the various teaching labs in the division.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Teaching multiple courses in the kinesiology curriculum including, but not limited to:
* Exercise physiology, advanced exercise physiology, exercise testing and prescription, applied/clinical exercise physiology, environmental physiology, muscle physiology, lifespan motor development, motor behavior, or other closely related courses
* Contribute to service in the department, college, and university; which could include accreditation review responsibilities
* Advise multiple undergraduate students in course selection and progression through majoring in kinesiology and health science
* Supervise and manage operations of exercise science laboratories/spaces, including but not limited to equipment maintenance, vendor relations, equipment warranties/service contracts, inventory, protocol implementation, and laboratory support personnel supervision
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Earned master's degree by August 2026 in kinesiology/exercise science, exercise physiology, clinical exercise physiology, environmental physiology, sport performance, applied human performance, or closely related field
* Commensurate with career stage, evidence of the following:

About the Division of Kinesiology and Health:
The Division of Kinesiology and Health (DK&H) at the University of Wyoming (UW) is a key academic unit within the College of Health Sciences. The division has been home to approximately 18 faculty members, including both tenure and non-tenure track positions. These faculty members have a successful track record of securing research grants and contracts from a variety of prestigious organizations, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the U.S. Department of Education, among others.
DK&H offers two undergraduate majors leading to a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree: Kinesiology and Health Promotion, and Physical Education Teacher Education. For graduate students, the division provides a Master of Science (M.S.) degree with options for both thesis and non-thesis tracks. These graduate programs offer specialized emphasis in areas such as Exercise and Sports Science, Physical Education Teacher Education, and Health Promotion and Education. In addition to its own degree programs, DK&H actively participates in the university's interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences Ph.D. program, contributing to the training of doctoral students. The division has also established a graduate certificate program in community and public health to equip individuals with the skills needed for service in these critical fields.
DK&H provides significant opportunities through its focus on interdisciplinary research, global engagement, and program expansion. Students and faculty can engage in extensive interdisciplinary collaborations with departments like zoology & physiology, computer science, engineering, and theatre & dance, facilitated by UW-based programs such as Wyoming INBRE, COBRE, and NASA EPSCoR. The Division champions global learning through bilateral study-abroad programs in countries like China and Italy. Looking ahead, DK&H plans to launch its own Ph.D. program in Kinesiology in 2026. Research efforts are further bolstered by resources from the newly established School of Computing at UW and collaborative opportunities with institutions like the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah.
