EyeKor CEO and leadership

Dr. Yijun Huang co-founded EyeKor, and is the Chief Technology Officer. Yijun has 15 years experience in developing software and hardware solutions for ophthalmic imaging applications, both in academic and industrial environments. Yijun is interested in developing methodologies relating to ophthalmic imaging and analysis to increase efficiency, gain additional insights, shorten development time, and reduce costs for ophthalmic clinical trials. Yijun earned his Ph.D. in bioengineering from University of Pennsylvania, and was former VP of Engineering at Topcon Medical Systems.

Dr. Ron Danis is a Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer of EyeKor. Dr. Danis is a practicing medical retina specialist, Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Principal Investigator on more than a dozen industry and federally funded multicenter clinical trials. His main interests include retinal imaging and the design and conduct of clinical trials. Dr. Danis serves on leadership committees and data safety monitoring boards for multiple collaborative studies in drug and device development. He has co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He has been awarded the Honor Award and the Senior Achievement Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
