Position Description: This role is dedicated to supporting students with developmental disabilities in the Fairport Central School District as they engage fully in inclusive school and community activities. At the heart of this position is a commitment to honoring each student's voice, strengths, and goals. The coordinator will work to ensure students have meaningful opportunities to participate alongside their peers by training and supporting volunteers who build respectful, empowering relationships with them. This is a hands-on, collaborative role that partners with students, families, school staff, and community members to create environments where every student feels seen, heard, and genuinely included. Description of Duties: Promote and share the TIES program with school and community leaders. Recruit at least 12 participants, and recruit and train a minimum of 30 volunteers to match with appropriate activities. Develop individualized support plans for each participant to guide volunteer involvement. Provide ongoing support to volunteers, participants, and activity leaders through phone calls, in-person contact, training, and problem-solving. Maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual statistics on program activity, as required. Attend regularly scheduled meetings with the TIES Program Director. Participate in program planning, including the development and evaluation of program objectives. Solicit and incorporate consumer feedback. Meet all required training expectations. Stay current with developments and best practices in the field. Participate in staff meetings and in-service trainings as requested. Attend monthly Coordinators' meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deliver effective presentations to groups. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proven ability to build and coordinate a team of volunteers. Experience working with individuals with disabilities and their families. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Ability to foster collaborative and effective working relationships with families, school districts, and the community. Proficient computer skills Qualifications: High School diploma and two years of experience working with individuals and families with developmental disabilities.
