We are currently hiring for the Behavioral HealthClinician (BHC) position, a key role within a multi-disciplinary team in the Integrated Behavioral Health model. We are looking for behavioral providers with strong diagnostic and clinical skills, team engagement, and patient care skills who enjoy innovation, variability in your workday, and being a part of an exceptional team.
A Behavioral HealthClinician (BHC) is a fully integrated MentalHealth Professional and core member of the primary care team that works under the direction of the primary care provider(s). The role of the BHC is to support the primary care team in the early identification and treatment of behavioral health conditions within the defined clinic population. The primary functions of the BHC are to:
* Complete diagnostic evaluations
* Provide consultation to the team regarding diagnostic impressions, recommendations, and strategies to engage patients in health and behavior change
* Support the team with the day-to-day management of complex patients
* Provide brief evidence-based direct care to patients
* Engage in population health activities to support risk stratified populations
Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or psychology with emphasis on clinical practice. MN state license, eligible to be licensed in the State of Minnesota and eligibility to become a credentialed provider with insurance entities. Experience in providing diagnostic assessments and direct evidence-based clinical services to children and adults. Experience with Electronic Health Record systems preferred.
Required:
* Masters or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology
* Licensed Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Doctoral Level Licensed Psychologist (LP)
* 2 years post licensure
Preferred:
* 5 years post LICSW/LMFT/LPCC/LP licensure
* Previous experience completing diagnostic evaluations, and providing individual, couples, family counseling for children and adults
* Healthcare experience
* Knowledge of health conditions and common co-morbidities
* Knowledge of the continuum of behavioral health care services (i.e. within surrounding communities)

The mission of TISCC is to provide specialty, multidisciplinary, person-affirming care for transgender, gender diverse and intersex individuals in a safe and respectful environment, while optimizing physical, emotional, and social health. The TISCC is a premier clinic serving transgender, gender diverse and intersex individuals by providing the Mayo Clinic model of integrated care, promoting better health for patients and advancing the science of transgender and intersex medicine. The clinic follows the standards of care of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), which indicates providers follow professional consensus related to transgender health, and have a working understanding of the multidisciplinary care team and how to translate the standards of care into clinical practice.
In this vital role you will:
+ Conducts diagnostic assessments, determine clinical interventions, facilitates crisis intervention and short-term psychotherapy and provide education for patients and their families.
+ Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external support systems.
+ Participates in the development and implementation of treatment and transition plans.
+ Function as an interdisciplinary team member.
+ Function within the research, practice, and education shields at Mayo Clinic.

**Qualifications**
+ Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)

Mayo Clinic is seeking a full-time Clinical Social Worker to join our Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Team. This outpatient role enhances access to behavioral health services and supports population health. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including Psychiatrists, Psychologists, APRNs, RN Care Coordinators, and Primary Care Physicians, to provide evidence-based behavioral health care and coordinate transitional care and support related to social determinants of health. In this vital role, you will:
Conduct diagnostic assessments, determine clinical interventions, facilitate crisis intervention, and deliver short-term psychotherapy and patient/family education.
Develop and implement treatment and transition plans.
Refer patients to community resources to address barriers related to social determinants of health.
Serve as an active member of an interdisciplinary team by participating in huddles and case consultation meetings.
Contribute to Mayo Clinic's mission of research, practice, and education.
Ensure compliance with medical and legal standards, and serve as a resource for allied and administrative staff within the Section of Social Work and Department of Nursing.
This position includes specified billable patient contact hours, depending on assigned unit or site.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a Master's degree in Social Work.
Licensure/Certification
Current clinical licensure (e.g., LICSW, LCSW) eligible for independent practice as required by applicable Minnesota state regulations.
Additional Requirements
Advanced knowledge of mental illness, personality development, and various treatment modalities, along with skills in conducting individual, group, and family therapy.
Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and community agencies.
Psychosocial diagnostic expertise and experience addressing barriers related to social determinants of health.

Advanced knowledge of mental illness, personality development, and various types of treatment, along with skills in conducting individual, group, and family therapy.
Knowledge of adjustment to medical diagnoses and chronic disease.
Strong communication skills are needed to interact with patients, patients' family members, multidisciplinary teams, community agencies, and other resources.
Licensure and Certifications
Licensure to practice independently at the clinical level as required by applicable state requirements (e.g., LCSW, LICSW).
Valid driver's license is required for specific areas.
