Overview The Field Performance Technicians are responsible for the management, scheduling, and completion of all service and warranty related work. The Field Service / Field Performance Technician must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of the Performance O&M team. This position will interact closely with the customers, Branch Manager, the Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor and the centralized scheduling Field Service Team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Organize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule. Work with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor and the Branch Manager to allocate labor resources to service and warranty projects as needed Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians. Lead regular meetings to align and train the local field service team on best practices Support the on-boarding and training of new members of the field performance team Regularly exceed defined goals for field performance key performance indicators including but not limited to turnaround time, experience rating and average dispatches completed Assist with other tasks including inspections and site audits when assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1 - 3 years of previous field construction or solar experience required PV design or PV electrical experience is preferred High School diploma is required LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (include where appropriate) Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred. Facilities Technician III Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities The Facilities Technician II is responsible for performing a wide range of skilled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operational support activities across the facility, grounds, and building systems. Electrical Systems Maintenance & Troubleshooting Install, maintain, and repair electrical power distribution systems ranging from 12V to 480V. Troubleshoot motors, motor controllers, contactors, relays, VFDs, breakers, and panel boards. Support maintenance and periodic testing of emergency generators, ATS systems, and emergency lighting. Perform inspections and repairs on UPS systems, including battery checks and load tests. Conduct thermographic inspections using IR imaging to identify electrical hot spots and prevent failures. Diagnose and repair lighting systems, controls, occupancy sensors, and energy-saving components. Install and terminate conduit, wiring, junction boxes, and fixtures in compliance with NEC codes. Building Controls & Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems such as ALC, Siemens, JCI, and Distech. Identify issues with system programming, alarms, networked controls, scheduling, setpoints, and trending. Perform routine testing and calibration of sensors, actuators, thermostats, pressure transducers, and control valves. Respond to environmental excursions, system alarms, or abnormal building conditions in real time. Document findings and escalate system-level issues requiring engineering intervention. Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS) - Rees Monitor, troubleshoot, and calibrate Rees monitoring systems connected to CTUs, cleanrooms, and critical equipment. Investigate environmental alerts and document all corrective actions. Coordinate with engineering, quality, or lab teams when monitored equipment trends outside defined ranges. Facility & Grounds Maintenance Perform routine carpentry tasks, including repairs to doors, hardware, drywall, ceiling tiles, and cabinetry. Support painting, patching, and architectural maintenance to maintain GMP and non-GMP areas. Install or repair office fixtures such as shelving, brackets, casework, and ergonomic equipment. Maintain exterior facility components including walkways, lighting, signage, and safety features. Support snow/ice removal or seasonal maintenance where applicable. Inspections, Testing & Preventive Maintenance Conduct periodic, scheduled, and unscheduled facility inspections to identify repair needs, safety concerns, or equipment degradation. Complete PMs on mechanical, electrical, and utility systems following SOPs, manufacturer guidance, and safety protocols. Execute test procedures for boilers, emergency generators, exhaust systems, and safety equipment. Work Order Management & Documentation (SAP PM) Utilize SAP Plant Maintenance to open, update, track, and close work orders. Document labor hours, parts used, equipment status, inspection findings, and corrective actions. Maintain accurate equipment history records to support audits and regulatory readiness. Assist with updating equipment master data, asset lists, and PM plans as required. Safety, Compliance & Operational Excellence Work in accordance with company safety policies, Cal/OSHA regulations, NEC codes, building codes, and site procedures. Participate in job hazard assessments, lockout/tagout procedures, confined-space entry, and hot-work protocols. Identify potential facility hazards and take corrective or preventive action. Respond to facility emergencies, unexpected outages, leaks, alarms, or unsafe conditions. Support EHS initiatives, audits, and continuous-improvement projects. Cross-Functional Support & Customer Service Collaborate with engineering, lab staff, operations, safety, security, and external vendors. Communicate work status, issues, and repair timelines to internal stakeholders (RRPs, coordinators, lab managers). Provide technical guidance and support for small projects, installations, and moves.
