Position Summary:
The Field Service Specialist is responsible for providing technical support, installation, maintenance, and repair of Ergotron equipment at customer site. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. The specialist will work closely with customers to ensure optimal performance and satisfaction with all Ergotron branded products.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of Ergotron equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, providing effective solutions to restore functionality.
Fullfill paid for service, including regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure peak performance.
Document service visits, including repairs performed and parts used, in the company's service management system.
Maintain timely and accurate expense reporting and submissions.
Respond to customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
If applicable, maintain a well-stocked van inventory of necessary parts and tools for service calls.
Effectively manage time tracking as outlined in policy stated in employee resource guide.
Travel to customer locations as assigned, travel up to 100% is required.
If applicable, assist in managing the relationship with customer for assigned account(s).
Responsible for timely and accurate updating of all required systems and programs necessary for sales operations including Salesforce and others as appropriate to ensure customer data is well maintained and documented.
Additional duties as requested.
Supports “Lean Business Enterprise” initiatives for continuous process improvement and waste elimination.
Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):
Associates of Arts (AA) or Bachelors in BS/BA Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
2-5 years experience in field service or technical support roles.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience with electronic testing equipment (multimeters, etc.)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In healthcare environment, required to adhere to all site level vaccine and screening requirements.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), ERP and Salesforce.
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job as described to you for the position.
Valid driver's license with safe driving record.

Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Chair of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department, the incumbent will provide comprehensive support of chemistry and biochemistry teaching laboratories, including setup, clean up, chemical material preparation, instrument set up and calibration, and stockroom maintenance. The incumbent is responsible for the purchase of chemicals, glassware and lab supplies for the department as well as maintaining all documentation including the department ledger, invoices, and credit card statements. The internal records must be periodically reconciled with the University's ledger. The incumbent must be able to track purchases from several funding sources and categories. The incumbent may be called upon to assist and advise professors with their research or faculty development purchases. The incumbent will coordinate equipment repair with department equipment technicians and with contracted specialists.
Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to three years of experience providing instructional support services for a related unit or discipline, or in producing materials or supplies, or repairing equipment in a discipline related to the area to which assigned. Or equivalent to four years of college with 16 semester units in courses involving extensive use of materials, supplies, or equipment, and in a discipline related to the area to which assigned, may be substituted for two years of the required experience. Incumbent must have the ability to operate relevant scientific equipment and computer interfaces; plan, organize and schedule activities; maintain records; adjust and perform simple maintenance on technical and scientific equipment; read and write at a level suitable for records maintenance and project needs. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Lacing cables
Wire-wrapping - you should already know the color codes for telco wires and can wire-wrap.
Forming cables in bundles and stitching.
DC power cabling - should already know how to properly crimp, heat shrink, terminate lugs on live BDFB.
Mounting frames - Drilling, anchoring, leveling, positioning.
Your role will also involve working with a range of Data Network and Communications equipment, such as routers, switches, voice gateways, and VOIP equipment.
Your expertise will extend to managing Structured Cable Distribution Systems, patch panels, and support structures.
minimum requirements
Valid drivers license and safe driving record
100% travel required. Must be able to travel outside of the local market and any state across the U.S., possibly for weeks at a time.
Must be able to work any shift
Ability to distinguish colors in use of color-coded cable
Ability to lift 50lbs and capable of working aloft
Ability to successfully complete required safety training
High School Degree or GED equivalent
Ability to pass drug screens and background checks

About The Navys Advanced Electronics / Computer Field (AECF) offers extensive training in electronics, computer systems, radar, communications, and weapons fire control systems, including the Navys advanced missile systems and Aegis radar. These technicians are essential to the ships Combat Systems department, ensuring readiness for combat operations across the fleet.
Responsibilities
As an Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Controlman (FC), you may:
Maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment.
Operate, maintain, and repair fire control radars, mainframe computers, large screen displays, LANs, weapon control consoles, and automatic gun systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems used in weapons systems.
Support combat systems readiness aboard aircraft carriers, Aegis cruisers, and other surface ships.
Work Environment
ETs and FCs serve on fleet units worldwide and at shore-based repair facilities. Expect assignments aboard ships, at remote stations, and in technical repair shops. Work is highly technical, requiring precision and teamwork.

Apprentice Technical Training Great Lakes, IL (11 weeks)
FC Strand Great Lakes, IL (16 weeks)
ET Strand Great Lakes, IL (22 weeks) Training covers electronics theory, radar systems, communications suites, missile and gun system ballistics, troubleshooting, and fiber optics. After A School, technicians may attend advanced C Schools. College credits are often available for Navy training.
