About the Role
The Service Engineer position is the primary point of contact responsible for training, installation and maintenance of all HSG tech machinery in our Chicago showcase space and equipment purchased by HSG Tech customers in the US region. Reporting directly to the Service Manager in the US, this position will manage technical issues, maintain customer satisfaction, provide monthly maintenance support, promote value add-on services and provide training support. Business travel will be a requirement for this position.
Responsibilities
Provide key objective management (proper machinery installation, proper accessory management and proper understanding of service data)
Optimize work order organization, safe tool use and customer data reporting.
Demonstrate understanding of expense reimbursement documentation and customer service evaluations
Partner with internal Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service and R&D teams to support stakeholder objectives
On-time completion of equipment installation, commission and maintenance tasks while following the company's strict safety and quality guidelines
Analyze and find root cause of maintenance impediments, debug system errors and propose system improvements.
Participate and prepare company held trainings regarding technical process, company regulation and technician job duties.
Conduct customer visits monthly for routine service maintenance while promoting related value add-on services.
Provide one-to-one training and guidance for new hired service team members.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Field Technician to perform site surveys and telecommunications installations for MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) properties. Site surveys will require accessing MDUs and documenting information about the building that will determine build requirements. The installations will involve mounting rooftop radio antennas, running Ethernet and coax cables, and installing and turning up telecommunications equipment at various MDU locations. Safety training will be provided and required for the job.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed site surveys to access building physical layout, condition, cable type and line of site from MDU to serving wireless donor (tower or building).
Evaluate structural integrity and suitability for installing telecommunications equipment and associated cabling.
Collect and document all survey information for communication and direction with engineering team.
Ensure all materials and tools are inventoried and prepared for each installation job.
Installation of wireless radio equipment on roof tops along with associated cabling will be required. Access will be with ladders, mechanical lifts, or via roof top hatches or doors depending on the MDU type.
Installation of telecommunications equipment inside MDU communications rooms may require wall mounted backboards as well as wall mounted equipment and associated cabling.
Use of construction tools such as ladders, saws, drills, cable crimpers, and other hand tools will be required as well as use of a company provided laptop computer and signal testing devices.
After the installation of all equipment and cabling, antenna alignment and signal testing will be required with test equipment and laptop computer.
Prepare and submit comprehensive job reports.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies during on-site activities.
Maintain clear, effective, and professional communication with property managers, tenants, and internal teams.
This position requires daily travel to the job sites with a company-provided vehicle.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a technical field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in field installation, operations, telecommunications, or a related technical field.
Previous construction experience and electrical apprentice experience is highly desired.
Knowledge of fixed wireless and cable technologies is a plus.

Position Overview
The Environmental Field Technician will engage in wastewater, groundwater, leachate, stormwater, soil, drinking water, and surface water monitoring and sample collection activities. Upon completion of the training program, the Environmental Field Technician will work on monitoring and sampling projects on a variety of matrices at facilities throughout the Midwest. Under the direction of the Groundwater and/or the Wastewater Field Manager, the technician will follow standard procedures for data and sample collection to ensure representative data is collected to meet EMT, client, and regulatory specifications. Specific Duties Of The Position
Maintains quality standards in accordance with EMT Standard Operating Procedures, NEFAP Standard and relevant sampling and analysis standards.
Perform water quality monitoring using field instrumentation for indicator parameters
Collect wastewater, groundwater, leachate, stormwater, soil, surface water, and drinking water samples in accordance with standard operating procedures. Conduct sampling and measurement activities in accordance with EMT policies and procedures.
Troubleshoot flow measurement, monitoring, and sampling equipment.
Collect and document accurate and defensible data.
Install and operate automated wastewater sampling equipment
Install and operate automated stormwater sampling equipment
Install and operate flow measurement instrumentation.
Perform confined space entries to install and maintain monitoring equipment.

What You'll Do
Travel to hospitals, labs, enterprise facilities, and industrial sites
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures
Use multimeters, schematics, and service manuals daily
Repair wiring, motors, sensors, PCBs, controllers
Perform FRU-level and component-level repairs
Document service activity clearly and accurately
Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
If it powers on, moves, measures, displays, alarms, or carries signal - you'll work on it.
A/V Track Responsibilities
Install and service A/V systems (displays, racks, control systems)
Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat6, HDMI, Coax, USB)
Validate signal paths and system functionality
Medical / Industrial Track Responsibilities
Calibrate and validate medical or laboratory systems
Perform preventive maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment
Support regulated environments with accuracy and professionalism
What You Need (Non-Negotiable)
1-3+ years of hands-on field service or electro-mechanical experience
Proven electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Experience using a digital multimeter
Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics
Comfortable with physical field work and customer environments
Valid driver's license
Willingness to travel locally and regionally
Important: This role requires true troubleshooting experience.
Bench-only repair, cable-pull-only work, or install-only backgrounds without diagnostics will not be a fit.

Position Overview
The Environmental Field Technician will engage in wastewater, groundwater, leachate, stormwater, soil, drinking water, and surface water monitoring and sample collection activities. Upon completion of the training program, the Environmental Field Technician will work on monitoring and sampling projects on a variety of matrices at facilities throughout the Midwest. Under the direction of the Groundwater and/or the Wastewater Field Manager, the technician will follow standard procedures for data and sample collection to ensure representative data is collected to meet EMT, client, and regulatory specifications. The Environmental Field Technician must follow protocols and procedures to ensure work is completed in a safe and ethical manner to exceed our client's expectations. The groundwater and wastewater field services provided supports a variety of clientele including consulting and engineering firms, private industry, and governmental agencies operating under many different environmental rules and regulations.
Specific Duties Of The Position
Maintains quality standards in accordance with EMT Standard Operating Procedures, NEFAP Standard and relevant sampling and analysis standards.
Perform water quality monitoring using field instrumentation for indicator parameters
Collect wastewater, groundwater, leachate, stormwater, soil, surface water, and drinking water samples in accordance with standard operating procedures. Conduct sampling and measurement activities in accordance with EMT policies and procedures.
Troubleshoot flow measurement, monitoring, and sampling equipment.
Collect and document accurate and defensible data.
Install and operate automated wastewater sampling equipment
Install and operate automated stormwater sampling equipment
Install and operate flow measurement instrumentation.
Perform confined space entries to install and maintain monitoring equipment.
Review and interpret data to identify trends and anomalies.
Documentation of all field activities sufficient to historically reconstruct all field activities.
Communicate effectively with team members and project management staff to ensure field activities exceeds client expectations and quality data generated. Confer with project managers to coordinate operations and activities in accordance with the contracted scope of work.
Interact with clients and/or their project engineer/consultant to ensure project specifications are met.
Adequately prepare and deliver or ship samples to EMT or our partner laboratories.
Report writing summarizing field activities.
Perform landfill gas monitoring and flare gas sampling.
Conduct surface scan monitoring for ground emissions.
Strictly adhere to EMT data integrity and ethics policy.
Strictly adhere to EMT safety policies and procedures.
Travel to client facilities which can include overnight stays.
Work weekends on a rotational basis.
Such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time consistent with the objectives of the position.
Requirements:
Physical Requirements of the Position
Must be able to work in conditions where limited access is available requiring hiking and manual transport of field equipment to monitoring locations.
Must pass a pre-employment physical.
Must be able to lift and/or carry heavy equipment, coolers, etc. that weigh up to fifty (50) pounds using correct and safe lifting techniques.
Must be able to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for the position.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel; talk or hear; and smell.
Must be able to work in all types of varying weather conditions.
Must be able to safely work in industrial, solid waste and construction settings.
Must be able to safely work around chemicals.
Personal and Professional Credentials
Bachelor's Degree Preferred.

Due to Client requirements for facility on-site access, background checks are required.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to be insured by EMT's insurance carrier to drive company vehicles safely and effectively. In addition, the ability to drive off road vehicles is required.
Base Pay is $17.25/h.
