Job Purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for dynamic, results driven individual to join as a Finance Intern. This is a great opportunity to work with a wide network of people in Engineering and Finance.
The Finance Intern will support month end processes like Journal Entries, account reconciliations and reporting. After month end, the Finance Intern will work with the engineering team, under the guidance of our Sr. Financial Analyst, to collect the documentation needed for capitalization, identify the assets, tag them and process them.
Key Responsibilities
Participates in monthly closing process, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and reporting
Document assets for capitalization with the support of a Sr. Financial Analyst
Confirm with engineering asset status (in use, pending, etc.)
Locate, photograph and document assets and their location
Work with the engineering and finance team to resolve open asset topics
Ensure all fixed assets are properly coded

GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or B average, upon initial hire date

Licensing:

Compensation:

Review Federal and multi-state tax returns for various corporate entities.

Has regular and effective communication with internal and external partners to build strong relationships that drive referral activity.
Regularly meets with branch manager and other internal business partners to communicate and review business results and pipeline management. Meets service level agreements on lead and referral follow up. Adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, policies and guidelines.
