1999

1999: Schwab launches after-hours trading for Nasdaq and select listed stocks, with orders accepted online or by phone from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

1999 In the largest international real estate industry merger to date, JLW and LaSalle Partners join forces to form Jones Lang LaSalle.

2000

2000: Schwab and United States Trust merge.

The IK 2000 Fund closed with €2.1 billion in commitments

2000 LaSalle expands into Canada.

2002

In 2002, IK provided three out of the four private equity-backed IPOs in Sweden, listing Alfa Laval, Nobia and Intrum Justitia.

2003

2003: Charles Schwab Bank launches.

2004

IK closed the IK 2004 Fund, with €825 million in commitments

2004 LaSalle expands into Mexico.

2005

2005: Schwab eliminates account service and order-handling fees5 for retail accounts and small business retirement plans.

2006

On 24 March 2006, Partners Group Holding AG floats its shares on the SIX Swiss Exchange in an initial public offering (IPO) with Partners Group's employees still being the largest investor group.

The fund acquired businesses across the Nordic region, Benelux, the DACH region and France and in 2006 opened a local advisory office in Paris

2007

2007: The corporation completes the acquisition of The 401(k) Company, a retirement plan provider in Austin, Texas, and Charles Schwab Investment Management completes the acquisition of Global Real Analytics, LLC (GRA). Charles Schwab Bank introduces the High Yield Investor Checking®8 account.

2008

2008: The company enhances Schwab.com, improves StreetSmart Pro, upgrades risk management tools on StreetSmart.com, and launches an online community focused on active trading.

It closed with commitments of €1.7 billion In 2008, Industri Kapital became IK Investment Partners.

2009

2009: Schwab introduces Real Life Retirement™ Services with practical tools and resources for those nearing retirement.

2010

In 2010, Christopher Masek and Detlef Dinsel became Managing Partners and Björn Savén became non-executive Chairman

2010 LaSalle is granted a license to launch a regulated investment management company Kapitalanlagegesellschaft (KAG) for Immobilienfonds.

2011

2011: Schwab launches a new platform for active traders, StreetSmart Edge®,10 designed to simplify complex trading activities and provide a more intuitive experience.

2012

By the end of 2012, client assets have grown to $2 trillion.

First Bus provided spectator transport for hundreds of thousands of attendees at the London 2012 Games with our rail companies also running additional services.

2012 LaSalle acquires JER European fund management business.

2013

2013 LaSalle named one of the 'Best Places to Work in Money Management' by Pensions & Investments.

2014

First ScotRail franchise extended to 2014.

First Bus and First ScotRail are proud to be official supporters of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, providing passenger rail and bus services.

2014 LaSalle raises a record $8.9 billion of net equity commitments.

Three new offices open in Sydney, Luxembourg and Beijing (our China office is later relocated to Shanghai in 2014). Partners Group signs up to the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment (UNPRI) and is among the first private markets signatories.

2015

FirstGroup awarded contract to operate the Great Western franchise to September 2015.

2015: Schwab ETF OneSource™ expands to over 200 commission-free ETFs,14 on its platform.

As the leading transport operator in Bristol, FirstGroup is proud to support the city as European Green Capital 2015 as an official partner.

2015 LaSalle's sister company, JLL, named to the Fortune 500 list after reporting a record-high gross revenue of $5.4 billion.

2017

2017: Schwab ETF OneSource™ adds OppenheimerFunds to its commission-free ETF Program, allowing investors and advisors to buy and sell 228 ETFs covering 69 Morningstar Categories with $0 online commissions, no enrollment requirements and no early redemption fees.

2018

2018 LaSalle named one of the 'Best Place to Work in Money Management' by Pensions & Investments for the third consecutive year.

2019

2019: Schwab ETF OneSource™ doubles its lineup to 500+ ETFs and adds iShares ETFs to its already robust menu.

FirstGroup signed agreement to operate the Great Western franchise until 2019 and an additional year operating First TransPennine Express.

2019 LaSalle launches its United States debt platform, LaSalle Mortgage Real Estate Investors.

2020

In September 2020, Partners Group is admitted to the blue-chip Swiss Market Index (SMI) of the Top 20 largest Swiss stocks.

2021
