In Your New Role:

POSITION SUMMARY
Best candidates will have strong ties and connections in Minneapolis and St. Paul. This position is working directly with young adults aged 16-28 that have/were involved in gang and/or gun violence. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Enrollment/Assessment
Conduct or assist in conducting group or one-on-one program information overviews for potential participants.
Determine program eligibility of participants through formal and informal inquiry and screening, complete enrollment paperwork per program requirements, conduct or assist in conducting formal enrollment sessions.
Assess and evaluate participant's physical, social, vocational, educational and employment situation to determine participant strengths and identify barriers.

May vary, semi-sedentary involving office and fieldwork. Requires flexible schedule and ability to provide services at various locations, sometimes out of regular business hours.

Keep abreast of county, state, and federal program policies. Maintain high level of skill and expertise through professional development and continuing education.
Collaborate with other agencies for program activities.
Maintain awareness of current labor market information.
