Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Conduct the daily onsite safety brief before the start of the WTI project with the Sales Rep, customer, and the WTI crew. Inspect and ensure all surroundings, equipment, and tools and identify and discuss any safety concerns. Complete the Daily Hazard Analysis form and submit it to the Supervisors as applicable. Foreman also ensures that all technicians complete Daily Hazard Analysis.
Ensure all project communication is completed before the start of any WTI project. This includes but is not limited to communication with:
WTI Field Resources Supervisor (Supervisor) daily and before starting new projects (ensure any/all communication with the Sales Reps is also shared with the Supervisor.
Sales Rep weekly and/or as needed and before new projects.
WTI crew members will discuss the scope of work, daily tasks, and the overall schedule.
Customer/Client (as needed or required by the Sales Rep) daily and/or weekly.
Efficient management of projects will include managing the crew's start and end times, daily productivity (hours, man-days, etc.), and ensuring tools and materials are available to complete the assigned project safely and efficiently. Complete the project per the approved scope of work or specification and after issuance by the Supervisor.
Using a designated company-mandated reporting tool, the Foreman will complete an end-of-day and/or end-of-project walk-through to ensure the quality of workmanship and address any punch list items before leaving the job site. These items will include updates on work performed, materials consumed (T&M projects), and supplies purchased.
Ensure all WTI Field Resources Reps (Field Reps) have a professional appearance and customer interaction while completing services for a customer.
Responsible for ordering, tracking, and monitoring inventory and ensuring quarterly cycle counts are completed and submitted timely.
Provide pricing for self-performing projects over $12,500.
Submit all proposals of over $20,000 to the Supervisor for review and approval before submitting them to the GS Administrator for logging and distribution to the Sales Rep.
Monitor and manage the Field Reps. Consult with the Supervisor to take appropriate steps or corrective measures to resolve employee work-related issues and necessary documentation. Work with the Supervisor to elevate the issues to HR as required.

Location/Travel:

A day in the life of a Carpenter Foreman at Graham Construction, a 3G Company: This is a position that plays an important role in our construction projects. Based on a construction project site, they assist by leading our carpenters and apprentices. They help encourage and drive our safety culture.
Job Title: Carpenter Foreman
Reports to: Field Leader/Field Operations Leader
Purpose:
The purpose of this job is to coordinate and train carpenters to deliver a high-quality project safely.
What you'll do:
Manages and coordinates field personnel and activities including:
Project layout and planning
Crew and workforce management
Work sequencing
Mentor and train carpenters
Assisting with crews Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms
Graham tool and equipment onsite inventory
Attend foreman meetings
Coordinates and sequences work with other trade partners.
Maintain established schedule dates
Promote, enforce, and train on Grahams safety policies
Conducts safety walks and reports
Understand budgets for self-perform work
Maintain clean jobsite and ICRA standards
Represent Graham externally to trade partners, clients, and industry representatives
All other duties as assigned
What knowledge, Skills, & Abilities you'll bring:
Experience in general construction carpenter work, graduate in an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
Preferred Previous experience managing carpenters
Extremely detail-oriented
Strong leadership skills
Ability to use written and verbal communication effectively
Ability to see the big picture
Legal Requirements
Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary
Valid drivers license
Ability to pass pre-employment testing
Must be able to navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.
Must be able to work in a noisy environment
Ability to understand and enforce jobsite safety rules and OSHA requirements
Ability to work within one of Graham Constructions operational areas as assigned. This is an onsite role.
Note - This will be an in-field Central Iowa position, not an office position.
