This could be temporary or permanent. Qualified candidate must have an understanding of the issues facing people who are at risk of homelessness and options to prevent their becoming homeless. The ability to mediate and negotiate with family and friends is critical in the identification of alternatives to becoming homeless and entering a shelter or staying on the streets or other places not meant for habitation. The Peer Mentor/Outreach II must also be able to engage Veterans who are hard to reach and or not interested in participating in services to end their homelessness. The position must have knowledge of the service delivery system and the resources available for Veterans and their families to assist persons obtain necessary documentation to determine eligibility and to maximize the resources for which they are eligible. The Peer Mentor/Outreach II participate as a member of the strengths-based Case Management team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : (These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Main Responsibilities: ▪ Responsible for ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to by the self and guests ▪ To ensure a safe working environment at all times for both internal and external guests. ▪ Use and maintain water park facilities and equipment ▪ Follow all health and safety procedures ▪ Acquired product knowledge and keep updated on changes ▪ Be aware of sales opportunities within the resort ▪ Understand the resort's objectives and what part they can play to ensure success ▪ Ensure water park area and capacity is managed per local, state, and federal guidelines ▪ Contribute to innovations that would enhance guest experience ▪ Maintain minimum training as set down by the department's procedure ▪ Provide medical support from team is appropriate for all guests ▪ Provide excellent guest service with safety in mind ▪ Take pride in their dress & appearance ▪ Demonstrate ownership of all Model Citizen facilities Qualifications & Experience Background and Experience: ▪ Must be 16 years or older. ▪ Have a current StarGuard ELITE Certification or the ability to pass a LEGOLAND provided training. ▪ Have a current StarGuard ELITE First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or the ability to pass a LEGOLAND provided training. ▪ Must be able to pass written and practical skills exam for American Red Cross exams prior to duty. ▪ Must be able to pass the StarGuard ELITE swim test for Lifeguarding: 300 yard swim, 2 minute tread water, and complete 1 minute 40 second timed event. ▪ Must have visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents, and the physical ability to act swiftly in emergency situations.
