Fourth River Solutions CEO and leadership

A passionate and skilled scientist who is dedicated to making an impact in how cancer is treated and managed. I bring a diverse set of skills and experiences to my work, having previously served as CEO of a start-up consulting company, an innovation-driven STEM teacher, and graduate level researcher. In particular, my PhD dissertation work exclusively focused on human subjects research with a deliberate eye toward clinical application. I understand the needs of current biomedical research from a technical and business perspective and am adept at communicating complex concepts to a variety of audiences.

Angela is a student University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine graduating in 2023 and is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a Graduate Student Researcher at University of Pittsburgh and Chief Financial Officer, Project Manager at Fourth River Solutions. Angela has experience at Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials and has worked as Bartender at Apiary Fine Catering & Events, Student Laboratory Assistant at University of Kentucky, and Counter Staff at Chesapeake Bagel Bakery. She studied at University of Kentucky between 2014 and 2018.

While I have many research interests ranging from behavior and neuropsychiatric disorders to language and cognition, I am most passionate about topics in the biomedical sciences. One day, I hope to not only contribute to the scientific/medical communities as a professional researcher, but also teach future scientists as a professor in the field of neuroscience.

Nicole is a 5th year PhD student in the Cellular and Molecular Pathology PhD program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the PI3K pathway and it’s role in the regenerating liver. In her downtime, Nicole enjoys puzzling, knitting, discovering new restaurants around the city, and having game nights with her friends.
