Position Overview: The Facility Security Officer (FSO) manages and maintains the company's security program in compliance with NISPOM and DCSA requirements. This role oversees personnel security, facility security, and the protection of classified information. The FSO serves as the primary point of contact with government security offices and supports contract security requirements across programs. Work Location: Hybrid (Must be local to the Washington, DC metropolitan area) Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors: Administer and maintain the facility security program in accordance with NISPOM and DCSA guidance. Serve as the primary security contact with DCSA and customer security offices. Manage personnel security actions, including initiation, tracking, and reinvestigations. Provide hands-on security onboarding and offboarding support for personnel, including initial briefings, access setup, badge coordination, and clearance status verification at entry and exit. Process and maintain records in DISS and NISS. Manage visit requests, certifications, and access rosters. Manage receipt, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified material. Maintain DD254s and coordinate contract security requirements with program teams. Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and annual refresher training. Lead security education and awareness activities across the company. Support classified meetings and secure work activities. Maintain accurate security documentation and audit ready records. Monitor access control, visitor logs, and physical security controls. Investigate and report security incidents and violations. Track corrective actions and follow through to closure. Stay current on security policy updates and implement required changes. Provide guidance to leadership on security risks and compliance status. Education and Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Active Top Secret security clearance. Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial security or FSO-related roles. Working knowledge of NISPOM and DCSA inspection processes. Hands on experience with DISS and NISS. Experience managing personnel security actions and contract security files. Strong documentation and record control skills. Ability to work independently and manage sensitive information. Preferred Qualifications: Completion of CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities or similar training. Experience supporting DoD or civilian agency contracts. Experience supporting classified meetings and secure work areas. Knowledge of ITAR and EAR export control requirements. Experience supporting facility clearance activities and upgrades.
