BASIC FUNCTION

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Enter all transactions into POS system, collect payment, issue correct change, and receipt for all admission or concession sales.
Greeting the public. Demonstrate and promote positive guest relations and exceptional customer service. Provide information on Park District activities and facilities.
Answering all incoming phone calls and in person inquiries, addressing caller inquiries or routing to the proper person, if necessary.
Process memberships.
Inform incoming guests of specific, noticeable rules.
Responsible for balancing cash drawer at the end of each shift.

TITLE: FrontDesk Agent
DEPARTMENT: Rooms/Front Office
REPORTS TO: FrontDesk Supervisor/FrontDesk Manager
Attend to guests' needs, including, but not limited to, registration, checkout and cashiering.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival. Register guests into the computer, verifying reservation, address, and credit information. Promote the Hotel's Reward Program and provide recognition and benefits to all present members.
Accept payment for guests' accounts both at the time of registration and at checkout. Maintain a house bank and make a deposit and accurate report of receipts daily. Cash checks and exchange currency for guests.
Issue key to and control entrance of safety deposit boxes. Post miscellaneous charges as requested.
Arrive at workplace on time in full uniform prepared with tools and all equipment needed for service. Review current day's expected arrivals and check all VIP and special request reservations to ensure that they are pre-registered, blocked properly and other departments are notified of room assignment. Review the daily room availability and inform staff. Check status of departures on a daily basis. Relay all pertinent information to frontdesk agents, telecommunications, the following shift supervisor, and the Front Office Manager.
Ensure all necessary reports and forms are completed daily.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
Assist concierge in handling mail and facsimiles and providing guest with information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions.
Book reservations for those guests who approach the FrontDesk.
