Summary: Three 12-hour shifts per week, night shift. Night shift differential is paid. This position provides general nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. He/She is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Summary: The Procedural Care Unit sees an average of 55 cases daily, offering a fast-paced environment. PCU provides care both before and after procedures for Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular labs. Procedures include TAVR's, ablations, biopsies, catheterizations and more. PCU is an outpatient/closed unit, there are no floating requirements. Day shift holiday requirement: Either one working holiday or one on call shift. Weekend: One 12 hour shift every 8 weeks required, either Saturday or Sunday Scheduling: 8 week set/repeating schedule allowing you to know your schedule for a better work life balance. On call: You will be placed on call one weekend from 7a-7p one to two times yearly. ED, ICU, or cardiac/intermediate experience preferred. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver patient care through the nursing process while adhering to professional nursing standards and FCHC policies. * Direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel in the Operating Room. * Adjust to staffing changes and patient care needs as required. * Serve a diverse patient population, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. * Maintain physical ability to perform all job functions as indicated in the credentialing inventory. * ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Requirements * Hold current RN licensure from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing. * Preference will be given to candidates with previous surgical experience. * Ability to provide specialized nursing care, utilizing knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, and social sciences. * Maintain competency through a minimum of 24 Continuing Education Credit (CNE) hours every two years. * Certification in related nursing practices is encouraged.
