M. Jay Allison has been a director since 1987, and our Chief Executive Officer since 1988. Mr. Allison was elected Chairman of the board of directors in 1997. From 1988 to 2013, Mr. Allison served as our President and before that he served as our Vice President and Secretary. From 1981 to 1987, he was a practicing oil and gas attorney with the firm of Lynch, Chappell & Alsup in Midland, Texas. James Kleckner (Jim)

Jim Kleckner was named Executive Vice President, International and Deepwater Operations in May 2013. Prior to that time, he served as Vice President, Operations for the Rockies region beginning in May 2007, overseeing the company’s operations and development activities in the Rocky Mountain region. Mr. Kleckner has more than 30 years of global technical and leadership experience. He began his career in the oil and natural gas industry with Sun Oil Company and has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout the world including management roles in the North Sea, South America, China, the Gulf of Mexico and U.S. onshore. Mikell Jason Pigott

Jason Pigott joined Laredo in June 2019 and currently serves as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director. Mr. Pigott has more than 20 years of experience in the energy exploration and production industry, most recently serving as Executive Vice President - Operations and Technical Services for Chesapeake Energy where he led all drilling and completions operations, digital operations, supply chain and land efforts. Prior to joining Chesapeake in 2013, he was with Anadarko Petroleum for 14 years, serving in positions of increasing responsibility, focused primarily on onshore unconventional play development in the Eagle Ford Shale, Haynesville Shale, Delaware Basin and various tight-sand plays in East Texas. Mr. Pigott holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler School of Business.

Joseph William Foran
Matador Resources

Mr. Foran founded Matador Resources Company in July 2003 and has served as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and Secretary since he founded the Company and currently is the largest shareholder. Mr. Foran began his career as an oil and natural gas independent in 1983 when he and his wife, Nancy, founded Foran Oil Company with $270,000 in contributed capital from 17 of his closest friends and neighbors. Foran Oil Company was later contributed into Matador Petroleum Corporation upon its formation by Mr. Foran in 1988, and Mr. Foran served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of that company from inception until the time of its sale to Tom Brown, Inc. in June 2003 for an enterprise value of $388 million in an all-cash transaction. Under Mr. Foran’s guidance, Matador Petroleum realized a 21% average annual rate of return for its shareholders for 15 years.
