This position supports daily life within the Household by preparing meals, maintaining kitchen and dining areas, fostering meaningful engagement, and contributing to the overall well-being and dignity of residents. What You'll Do Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of resident meals Honor resident choice by supporting individual food preferences and dietary needs Follow encouraged mealtimes: Lunch 11:30am-1:30pm and Dinner 4:30pm-6:30pm Complete required documentation including food temperatures, dishwasher temps, and refrigeration logs Clean and sanitize the kitchen and dining areas after meals and between mealtimes, including sweeping and mopping as assigned Store, rotate, and manage weekly food stock orders using the Cater-Trax system Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local food safety guidelines Perform daily cleaning tasks according to the Household Cleaning Checklist Take trash and recycling out to the dumpster before the end of shift or each mealtime Encourage resident participation in food-related activities and provide 1:1 support when needed Assist with household holiday meals, gatherings, and events Follow all safety, sanitation, infection control, and Residents' Rights policies Maintain resident confidentiality and treat all residents, families, and staff with dignity and respect Attend required trainings and demonstrate consistent dependability and punctuality Perform other household duties as assigned What We're Looking For Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent Ability to read menus, diet cards, recipes, and follow measurements and instructions Ability to understand dietary restrictions such as regular, mechanical soft, and puréed diets ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain after hire) Efficient, organized, and able to maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness Kind, respectful, and supportive approach when interacting with residents Responsible for own work schedule and obtaining coverage when unable to work Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required Additional Information This position is every other weekend from 3pm-7pm!
