CNC Plasma Table Programmer
Location: Equipment & Assembly Plant - Pittsburgh, PA

The CNC Plasma Table Programmer will create programs for the CNC Plasma table, plate roll and press brake machines utilizing part nesting software. The CNC Plasma Table Programmer will create files and daily nesting plans for the CNC plasma table. The CNC Plasma Table Programmer ensures all materials are routed properly and that enough nested jobs are prepared to keep machines running.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
Monitor and maintain inventory of drop materials to maximize utilization of materials to include reducing scrap generated during processing
Cycle count plate inventory and maximize utilization through nesting, ensuring strategic consumption of raw materials. Compare on hand material to SAP counts
Reads and interprets manufacturer drawings and creates CNC files for plasma cutting tables, plate rolls and brake press to produce parts for fabrication
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
Associates degree (A.A.), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred
0-2 years 1 year of experience drafting or CNC programming is required
0-2 years 1 year of experience with AUTOCAD 2D is required
0-2 years 1 year of experience with SAP is required
0-2 years 1 year of experience with .DXF, .DWG and various print file types is required
0-2 years 1 year of experience building spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel is required
Auto CAD CAM Software is preferred

Ruland Manufacturing is looking for a CNC Setup Machinist to join a diverse manufacturing team that operates Haas, Brother, and RoboDrill CNC mills and lathes in a fast-paced production environment where programs are prewritten by engineering. The ideal team member must be willing to setup and/or operate three to six machines at a time while performing routine inspections, helping operators make in-depth mechanical adjustments, and identifying visual product defects. The CNC Setup Machinist must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment where results are measured, and performance is rewarded. Due to Ruland's fast growth the CNC Setup Machinist must be comfortable adapting to changes in technology, processes, and equipment. This person will train operators on new equipment and help them advance to setting up machines.
The primary responsibilities of the Machine Operator are operating equipment that has already been setup, performing routine inspections, operating manual lathes for secondary operations, making process recommendations and regularly reporting any issues with quality or safety, to the production supervisor. Success of the Machine Operator will be measured by productivity, scrap rate, average lead time, late orders, and compliance with process and safety standards. Team results are measured on a daily basis allowing for a transparent view of performance.
Ruland expects the CNC Setup Machinist to perform routine inspections to maintain our industry exceeding quality standards. Inspections are performed until consistency of the part setup has been established, when an operator has a quality issue they can not fix, and on a routine basis depending on workload. Ruland uses standard monitoring and measuring equipment as well as visual aids to ensure compliance with documented standards. Setup machinists must possess good math skills and the ability to program and mechanical adjustments to maintain quality.
Ruland is a high mix, small to medium run-size production environment with schedules that can change daily depending on customer orders and need. The CNC Setup Machinist must be flexible and willing to adapt to these changing schedules including giving input on if parts can be run that day. Strong organizational skills are required which include keeping a tidy work area, understanding of what parts are running on each machine, having blanks prepped to be run, and attention to detail with inspection sheets. To keep up with the demanding schedule the CNC Setup Machinist must be quick and efficient with changeovers, group setups, and prepare fixturing and tooling in advance of setup.

We are looking for a CLASS A CNC Machinist (Milling) who has a drive for excellence and precision and experience with 4 axis horizontal mill experience and/or lathe/mill turn experience.
Shift Available:
Monday-Thursday 3:30PM-2:00AM. You get a 3-day weekend AND a 10% night shift differential!
Responsibilities and Duties
Produce quality parts on CNC machines such as but not limited to lathes, Mill Turn, 3 Axis Milling, 4 Axis Milling, 5 Axis Milling
Load parts, prove tapes, operate controls, set offsets, perform edits, deburr and inspect
Study and interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications; determine dimensions and tolerances, perform sequence of operations and setup measurements
Interpret inspection data and make adjustments
Measure and mark dimensions and reference points for subsequent machining
Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine, controls, or control media as required to ensure quality of production.
Communicate with supervisor, engineers, maintenance, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly; perform preventative maintenance on equipment
Adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company AS9100 quality program and procedures, Company policies and safety and environmental regulations
May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
High School Diploma or GED. Technical/Vocational training desired.
2 year degree in Precision Machining, OR minimum of 2 years operating CNC machines such as lathes, milling, and mill turn machines within a controlled Mil-Aerospace or medical parts machining environment
Experience machining medium to high complexity work
Knowledge of programming language
Proficient knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and CMM experience
Knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions
Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
Must be able to communicate in English (both oral and written) as it relates to the job
Must be adaptable to a changing work environment
Must possess math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
Willing to run multiple machines independently or in a team environment.
