Since the opening of Teardrop Park in Battery Park City in 2006, a mini-version of upstate New York nestled amid skyscrapers, Mr.
The watershed moment may have been 2012, when the hedge fund manager John A. Paulson donated $100 million to the Central Park Conservancy.
In August 2013, Williams Foundation pledges up to $16 million to the park.
In 2014, Gathering Place broke ground on Tulsa’s world-class park.
Since opening in spring 2016, they now have roughly 1,000 members with a waiting list to get in.
