Siddarth Satish is the Chief Executive Officer of Gauss Surgical. He founded the company in 2011 and served as CTO and Chairman of the Board until 2015. In his operating roles, he has led the company from invention through six US/EU regulatory approvals (including FDA De Novo), and into its commercial phase of growth. Siddarth previously served as an EIR at StartX, Stanford’s Startup Accelerator, and as a SIMdesign Fellow at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.S. in Bioengineering from the UC Berkeley/UCSF Joint Graduate Group in Bioengineering, and he is a named inventor on over 25 issued or pending patents.

As Gracenote’s Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Steve is responsible for leading the Gracenote engineering teams and developing scalable platforms and state-of-the-art technologies. In 1995, Steve co-developed the Compact Disc Database (CDDB) to display information about the CDs being played. CDDB represented one of the first crowd-sourced services, relying on millions of users from around the globe to populate the database with music information. The CDDB service became the foundation of Gracenote and helped usher in Apple iTunes and the first iPod. Prior to Gracenote, Steve led development teams at various Silicon Valley companies focusing on fault tolerance, performance and operating system development. He spent several years at Stratus Computer where he designed and developed disk I/O subsystems. Steve received BS degrees in Math and Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and is a World Technology Network fellow.

Mr. Farnsworth joined Cardiva in January of 2008. Prior to joining Cardiva, Mr. Farnsworth served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at POINT Biomedical Corporation, a specialty pharmaceutical company developing pharmaceutical imaging agents to detect coronary artery disease. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Gynecare, Inc., a medical device company, that was acquired by Johnson & Johnson after its IPO in 1996. Before that he served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Origin Medsystems, a minimally invasive surgical device company that was acquired by Eli Lilly and merged into Guidant. Mr. Farnsworth holds an MBA degree from the Haas School, University of California at Berkeley and a BS degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University.
