Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology from an accredited university

The Team
Build Platform owns creating the build system and tooling that supports our AV and AI developers. Our team is constantly on the lookout for optimizations and new tooling that improves our product. GM AI developers are heavy users of Python and Docker. The speed at which they can iterate directly impacts the rate at which our AVs improve. The tooling and workflows that Build Platform provides are central to the productivity of our AI developers. Improvements in this space quickly lead to enormous impact for Cruise.
The way this manager will deliver impact may vary depending on the situation but they will be expected to develop and manage a successful team, and effectively communicate with stakeholders.

* Establish and maintain a structured cadence for strategic initiatives and operational processes ensuring consistent progress and accountability of key metrics. Ensure seamless adoption of GE Aerospace's proprietary FLIGHT DECK operating model to improve effectiveness of organization's processes and practices.
* Collaborate with other functions on operations, manage metrics and dashboards, timely execution of functional processes, ensuring commitments are met on-time and at-cost. Provide project management expertise ensuring alignment with all key stakeholders, and establishing clear milestones, financial targets and schedule.
* Manage organizational view of contractual and operational obligations to programs and customers. Manage pertinent contractual negotiations, responses, and translate requirements into actionable plans. Own establishment of EVM standards and ensure organization meets financial targets.
* Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explain difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
* Uses high level of judgment to make decisions, handle complex tasks or problems, has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems, leverage internal and external sources and can provide recommendations.
* May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain Management from an accredited college or university.
* At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, business operations, or supply chain management.
* Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship
