Diagnose defects and perform repair and preventive maintenance to various types of hydraulic equipment, CNC machine tools, building plumbing and related equipment. Construct, install, maintain, repair and overhaul test stands, fixtures and related hydraulic equipment. Setup and operate arc and acetylene welding equipment. Perform high pressure tubing and hose fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic application and contamination control. Plan, layout and construct additions, partitions, benches, shipping boxes and other carpentry. Assist in planning sequence of operations and methods to be used in overhaul and repair. Check and calibrate new or rebuilt equipment after installation. Identify and repair CNC machine malfunctions. Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and mechanical operations for proper operation. Use precision test equipment. May work with computers and computer software to create and operate programs, reports, and spreadsheets. As a specialized hazardous material technician, may: Coordinate inventory and pickup of hazardous material and maintain current inventory of on‐ site chemicals. Advise and assist in clean‐up of chemical spills. Coordinate packaging, labeling, storing, and scheduling pickup of hazardous waste for offsite disposal. Maintain accurate records of all hazardous waste shipped offsite. Initiate compliance inspections. Provide technical assistance on hazardous materials compliance and safe practices. Perform other related responsibilities. Job Requirements: Five years related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities. May require proficiency with pump and valve overhaul procedures, especially aerospace associated equipment. Ability to work from blueprints and sketches. Possess required tools. May require ability to setup and operate hand and power tools. May require working knowledge of national, state and local electrical codes. May require knowledge of general hydraulics technology, i.e. pumps, cylinders, accumulators, filters, & piping; tube bending, piping fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic applications. May require knowledge of chemicals and their characteristics. May require working knowledge of computer and computer software to operate programs, create reports, and spreadsheets. May require a Hazardous Material Handling Certificate Required to lift up to 50 pounds. May require forklift operator certification. Experience with VFDs, control systems (PLC's/HMI's), electrical protective devices with some knowledge of calibration procedures and equipment. Skilled in the application and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools. 480v 3 phase knowledge required. Excellent mechanical troubleshooting ability, electrical a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E preferred. 2+ years' experience and demonstrated history of troubleshooting and repairing equipment (described above), personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices. Allen Bradley and/or Siemens experience preferred. Skilled in the machine shop to machine within specific tolerance using various measuring equipment - i.e. verniers, calipers, depth gauges, etc. Skilled in welding, sanitary welding, pipe fitting, soldering, and rigging is desired The pay range for this position is $34.14 - $40.96 per hour.
