Dave Jarrett is the Chief Operating Officer at Geofortis. Dave Jarrett attended Southern Utah University.

Dave is a proven business and risk management executive with a broad range of corporate and project responsibilities. In his thirty+ year career, he has led scientific, engineering, legal and financial teams in multiple markets to mitigate environmental liabilities, enhance value of and redevelop real estate, restructure ailing business units, and launch new ventures He has been responsible for business line operations, including P&L, business development, HR, budgeting/forecasting, accounting, etc. He has managed bankruptcy and litigation matters, brownfield redevelopment, regulatory compliance, remediation cost estimation, and risk management.

Dave is currently Chief Operating Officer of Geofortis, a new company bringing natural mineral products to markets in the Western U.S. His responsibilities include strategic planning, market research, regulatory permitting, process plant and equipment development, mining and milling operations, sales and marketing support and R&D.

Dave was the founder and Principal of D McMurtry & Associates, LLC, which provides advisory services for environmental liability evaluation, management and mitigation, as well as strategic planning and business development. Clients include real estate development companies, debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, A/E firms seeking high-level strategic planning and start-up ventures in technology, infrastructure and professional services.

He managed the environmental liability estimation process in General Motors’ Chapter 11 bankruptcy and helped develop a consensus with multiple state and federal agencies on a sustainable post-confirmation trust to clean-up and redevelop a large real estate portfolio. This groundbreaking case concluded in less than 24 months with the establishment of a $750+ million trust to manage the environmental properties. He provided litigation support and technical expertise to settle numerous claims by private and government claimants.
