Job Summary
The Coaching Assistant for Men's Basketball works under the direct supervision of the Head Coach to support the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Program. The assistant helps with practices, games, recruiting, and the overall development of student-athletes. This role provides hands-on-coaching, academic and personal support, and assists in promoting the program in the college and community.
Responsibilities
Assists in all areas of basketball coaching, including teaching skills, player development, and team strategies.
Supports the Head Coach with program activities such as recruiting, practice planning, video review, game day duties, and community involvement.
Observes and evaluates players during practices and games to identify areas of improvement.
Supports student-athletes with their academic progress and personal development.
Promotes a safe, healthy, and positive environment for student-athletes.
Serves as a role model for student athletes, demonstrating sportsmanship and professional behavior.
Helps with fundraising and program promotion through community and media activities.
Prepares reports and provides updates on the basketball program as requested.
Participates in public relations activities, including social media campaigns, newspaper, television, radio interviews and news conferences to highlight the team and college.
Assists with the supervision of student assistant coaches, student workers, and scorekeepers.
Acts as a Campus Security Authority under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited institution or college in a related field and at least 2 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics as a player or coach.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior coaching experience in the sport of college basketball.

Knowledge of basketball coaching techniques, training methods, and game strategies.

The Assistant Administrator for Community Development and Outreach will develop, coordinate and facilitate programming through the Cooperative Extension Program designed to assist communities to realize their long-term goals; through provision of education, technical assistance and opportunities to secure grants that support strategic planning and community visioning in order to provide a foundation for economic development. Coordinate or assist in the coordination of programs through outreach efforts with USDA Agencies, State, private and public and nonprofit entities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop an effective plan-of-work for instituting quality Cooperative Extension community development and outreach programs Write grants (evidence of successful funding) Build partnerships with Federal and State Agencies and private companies for improving the life (quality) of communities Problem-solve and partner with citizens, community groups, community leaders Promote programs and initiative(s) that provide for self-sustaining, long-term economic development in rural areas
Access Federal Programs targeting community development
Assist communities in developing strategic plans
Assess communities to determine developmental needs Provide educational forums on improving the quality of life for communities through economic development networks, education, health, utilities and safety
Stay current and knowledgeable of USDA community development policies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Agricultural Economics, economics, business administration or other business disciplines is required. Preference will be given to applicants with extension and strong community development experiences. Applicants with degrees in closely related disciplines with community development experiences may also apply.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doctorate degree in any of the aforementioned areas

Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Visual Arts department on the Dahlonega campus. Student assists professor in multiple duties associated with maintaining the ceramics lab such as loading kilns, grinding and kiln washing shelves, pugging clay, mixing glazes, assisting in inventory, studio upkeep, cleaning, etc. Must be able to lift 75lbs and willing to clean. Must have previous knowledge of ceramic related processes. Monitor the studio outside classes and assist students as needed. Student enforces safety and security in the lab and assists students as needed.
Responsibilities
* Student will be expected to complete various cleaning, technical, and maintenance duties daily, weekly, or monthly per studio need.
* Student will receive training per any task requiring new skill development.
* Most tasks will be familiar to student previously enrolled in ART 3700 or higher coursework.
Required Qualifications
* Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
* Must have previous knowledge of ceramic related processes, preferably through UNG coursework.
