Key Responsibilities Leading a team of teachers and volunteers at a single Summer Camp site Communicating regularly with all stakeholders (staff, students, families, administration) via phone, email, and in person Hiring and training a team of teachers to uphold Full STEAM Ahead standards, with help Observing and providing feedback for the site-based team Teaching STEM classes, art classes, explore classes, or Specialty Camps as needed Managing student behaviors and being the “go-to” person for classroom management Build a community of creativity, support, empathy, grit, and fearless problem solving Use CRM software (Jackrabbit Class, GHL) to engage with customers On site tech support as needed Requirements Bachelor's degree (Education, Psychology, Family Studies, or related field preferred) Preferred 2 years of experience as an Education Director or Assistant Director At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills Knowledge of Creative STEAM Curriculum Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting families Availability to work full-time, on-site hours during summer Schedule The Site Director is responsible for making sure there is someone on site by 8am to open every morning and there is someone staying until 5pm to close every day. The official hours can vary, but will constitute a 8 hour shift between 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday during the entirety of the summer.
