He later discovered that these rays could pass through books, papers, and the human body.Röntgencalled this form of electromagnetic radiation "x-rays" (Nitske, 1971).
Since the plate was covered, Becquerel concluded that it was not natural light that was causing this change but another form of radiation that he called "Becquerel Rays" (Mould, 1995).
They all stopped their production before the 70-ies, Kelvin-Hughes also stopped at the same time, Sperry was later renamed Automation Ind., around 1995.
