Founded more than 75 years ago in Fremont, California, IEM grew alongside Silicon Valley and today operates over 1.7 million square feet of manufacturing capacity. With $1B+ in annual sales and 10,000+ commissioned projects across technology, data centers, commercial, energy, utilities, healthcare, industrial, and infrastructure markets, IEM continues to deliver exceptional product quality, dependable service, and the flexibility to meet complex technical requirements at scale.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior FieldService Engineer - RUPS Systems will specialize in rotary UPS power system distribution builds, mechanical and generator integration, system integration, start-ups, and preventative maintenance programs. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional IEM teams to integrate current and new technologies, commission complex generator and RUPS systems, optimize existing power infrastructure, and ensure seamless operation across our power products as defined by the customer's RUPS design and sequence of operations (SOO). This role will serve as the point of contact for all fieldservice personnel related to RUPS startup, generator support, preventative maintenance, 24-hour emergency response, and remote technical assistance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and perform on-site startup, commissioning, and preventative maintenance of RUPS systems, including generator integration, flywheel validation, and facility electrical infrastructure.
