    The primary purpose of the Advanced Practice Provider, in the department Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, is to promote and maintain the health of SCT&CT patients across the care continuum. This position is required to work weekends per the staffing model. Demonstrates an awareness of and responsiveness to the larger system of health care to provide patient care that is cost-effective and demonstrates resource allocation that does not compromise quality of care. Patient Education Counsels and educates patients and their families about disease and illness in addition to providing health care services and education aimed at preventing health problems or maintaining health. Patient Care Provides patient care appropriate to the population(s) served. Advanced Practice Registered Nurse: EDUCATION Required: Master's Degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice. The Department of Urology is looking for a Physician Assistant to work at USC Arcadia Hospital in our USC Institute of Urology Clinic. This is located in the city of Arcadia, California. The physician assistant will need to obtain detailed and accurate medical histories from patients to delineate problems and record information. The physician assistant develops and implements patient management plans, including the coordination of referrals to specialty and social services. The recording of progress notes and the provision of continuity of care are duties of the clinical instructor of urology (clinician educator) physician assistant as well. The urology physician assistant performs and/or interprets common laboratory, radiological, and other routine diagnostic procedures used to identify pathophysiological progress. Assist Urology doctors in the various urologic procedures. The yearly base salary range for this position is $152,880 - $194,022.     The Physician Assistant (PA) II surgical specialist is a licensed health professional who practices medicine with the supervision of a physician as a surgical assist. In addition to being a surgical assist, the PA may also be involved in coordination of care, participates in education, and is closely engaged in clinical practice and patient care management. The PA will function as a leader within our professional team by communicating, planning, and implementing care directly and with other healthcare professionals, including but not limited to surgeons, surgical techs, pharmacists, office support staff, and other advanced practice providers.
