Production Technician Job Summary:
Production Technicians are responsible for the daily operation of heavy, moderately complex foundry equipment in a manufacturing environment. Production Technicians work on a variety of equipment including: presses, mills, casters, shredders, ovens, annealers, and/or slitters. Production Technician duties include:
· Adherence to all safety protocols
· Responsible for ensuring that product is continuously flowing while visually inspecting to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met.
· Operating forklifts
· Monitoring machine calibrations and adjusting as required
· Set up and tear down machines safely
· Maintain Quality control levels as set by Golden Aluminum.
· Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and procedures.
Production Technicians need to:
· Pass pre-employment drug test based on federal law (includes marijuana).
· Work any shift (2x2x3 schedule), 12 hours per shifts, alternating day/nights every 6 weeks.
· Have basic Microsoft computer skills and possess basic/fundamental math skills.
· Work efficiently with minimal supervision.
· Have strong attention to detail identifying defects and suggesting corrections.
· Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
· Forklift experience is a plus.

This full-time, non-exempt position will be located on-site, at the Denver International Airport. Our team works various schedules as this is a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week operation. The work week will be a schedule of 40 hours in total, with the shifts scheduled for either Sunday to Wednesday, or Wednesday to Saturday. Each day (except for Wednesday) will be the schedule of either 3:40 am to 4:00 pm or 3:40 pm to 4:00 am, plus a 1-hour lunch break. Wednesday is a 6-hour shift (with staggered schedules to accommodate a 24-hour period), plus a 30-minute lunch break. Shift assignments are determined based on the requirements of the airport and the company, together with a mechanic's strengths, skill set, and experience. Our mechanics/technicians are expected to be flexible with regards to potential changes in shift assignments. All shift assignments will include working on holidays that fall on scheduled workdays.
The successful candidate must be able to pass a drug screening, a drivers' license check and validation, federal fingerprinting, and security threat assessment, as well as airport security badging.

This full-time, non-exempt position will be located on-site, at the Denver International Airport. Our team works various schedules as this is a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week operation. The work week will be a schedule of 40 hours in total, with the shifts scheduled for either Sunday to Wednesday, or Wednesday to Saturday. Each day (except for Wednesday) will be the schedule of either 3:40 am to 4:00 pm or 3:40 pm to 4:00 am, plus a 1-hour lunch break. Wednesday is a 6-hour shift (with staggered schedules to accommodate a 24-hour period), plus a 30-minute lunch break. Shift assignments are determined based on the requirements of the airport and the company, together with a mechanic's strengths, skill set, and experience. Our mechanics/technicians are expected to be flexible with regards to potential changes in shift assignments. All shift assignments will include working on holidays that fall on scheduled workdays.
The successful candidate must be able to pass a drug screening, a drivers' license check and validation, federal fingerprinting, and security threat assessment, as well as airport security badging.

* Maintains accurate reports and information on equipment and repairs to ensure accurate billing and service logs.
* Overhauls and tests machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency
* Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications
* Brings to the attention of the shop manager any additional work required on unit or visible signs of damage including out of service conditions and safety hazards.
* Cleans, lubricates, and performs preventative maintenance work on equipment and vehicles as required
* Keeps abreast of all changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced by the distributors to maintain and upgrade technical competencies and knowledge through in-house and external training sources.
* Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* High School diploma and graduation from an accredited technical school in diesel engine/hydraulics/heavy equipment repair preferred but not required.
* Experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic preferred.
* Must have own tools.
* Volvo and/or other dealership or industry experience preferred.
* Skill in the use of a variety of diagnostic testing and tuning equipment.
* Working experience with computer systems and maintenance software preferred
* Strong organizational and customer service skills to ensure high level customer service
* Ability to work overtime when required
* Have excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, push, climb, move, reach and work overhead, lift up to 60 lbs. and work in all weather conditions
Working conditions
The employee will generally be working in an field/shop environment. The employee may be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment. The employee could occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the workplace is moderate.
