JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide support for the operation of the Switching/SCADA Desks in the TX Distribution Operations Centers.
* Work cross functionally between the DOC, TOC, Transmission, Networks, Construction, Resource Management, and Asset Planning groups to provide excellent customer service.
* Provide support for DOC dispatchers working Switching/SCADA desk.
* Coordinate planned and unplanned switching per System guidelines to maximize SAFETY of field personnel and minimize exposure and loss of service to Entergy's customers.
* Write, check, and deliver planned, unplanned, and contingency switching orders to requester(s) in a timely manner.
* Monitor SCADA exception lists to ensure all alarms not cleared in a timely manner are followed up with Transmission and all abnormal devices are properly tagged.
* Demonstrate ongoing commitment to system reliability by identifying and reporting potential reliability issues.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position
* Candidates must be actively enrolled with a four-year accredited institution, pursuing an undergraduate or masters degree in an engineering discipline (i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc.)
* Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher is required (on a 4.0 scale).

Let's Go Birding interns help make birding at National Park Sites welcoming and accessible for everyone. Let's Go Birding is a program funded by the National Park Service (NPS) and administered by Environment for the Americas in partnership with Birdability. The program works to reduce barriers so that people of all abilities and backgrounds can enjoy birding and bird conservation. This includes addressing challenges related to mobility, vision, hearing, neurodivergence, and chronic health conditions. The intern will focus on implementing and leading community outreach programs focused on birds. There are opportunities to connect with the Natural Resources team and engage in raptor monitoring.
Responsibilities:
Regularly facilitate birding and bird education programs.
Review park facilities and programming to identify opportunities for accessible programming.
Develop activities tailored to specific accessibility challenges.
Establish or build upon bird programs.
Coordinate and host World Migratory Bird Day activities.
Assist with coordinating activities for at least two (2) accessible birding events to coincide with Juneteenth and Mr. Medgar's 101st birthday in July 2026.
Assist with outreach programs at the Jackson Public Library, the Mississippi School for the Deaf and the Blind, and the Jackson Audubon Society birding summer camps.
Work with the park's gardener on an “easy plants to grow to attract birds” brochure.

About this site:
The park consists of the home where Medgar and Myrlie Evers lived and raised their three children and an area called "Myrlie's Garden." The garden, developed by the Trust for Public Land, has oak and pecan trees, a concrete accessible walking path, benches, a pavilion, and raised beds filled with fruits and vegetables. A stream divides the property from the houses on the other side of the fence.
Jackson has a subtropical climate. It is hot and humid during the summer, both day and night. The park's office is roughly 15 minutes away from the park. There are three park vehicles available so that staff do not have to use their own vehicles for work. Interns will be driven by park staff if they don't have a driver's license. Jackson is at or below sea level and is the center of medical care in the state. There are UMMC, Baptist, and St. Dominic hospitals. Kroger is the dominant grocery store with a Whole Foods and some local chains. Most people drive to the suburbs to watch films. However, there is a movie theatre in the Fondren neighborhood and another in Belhaven. Jackson is a foodie town. You can find just about any cuisine you like. The music scene is largely downtown at places like Martin's and Hal & Mal's.
Housing
There is no park housing on-site. Local candidates will be preferred. Alternatively, Environment for the Americas will secure shared housing for the two interns.

This includes providing clinical mental health counseling in the individual and group setting, assists with the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, and programs, as well as consulting with faculty, staff, and administration over mental health topics.
Provide individual and group mental health counseling services to the student/employee population, including evaluation, development and facilitation of support groups, and making referrals to external clinicians as needed. Develop mental health programs in conjunction with the Dean of Student Services on each campus as needed and when directed. Facilitate training and psycho-educational workshops for students, faculty, and staff. Collaborate with EAP staff to meet the needs of students and employees. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Complete Salesforce Trailhead training to develop foundational knowledge of Salesforce concepts, tools, and best practices.
Assist with integrating external systems into Salesforce, learning about APIs, data mapping, and automation processes.
Gain hands-on experience with Apex development, including triggers, classes, and test methods.
Support data cleansing efforts by identifying duplicate records, correcting inconsistencies, and ensuring data integrity.
Learn about Ergon's business processes and how Salesforce is leveraged to support sales, service, and operational functions.
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand user needs and gather requirements.
Participate in team meetings, actively contributing ideas and solutions to improve Salesforce processes.
Document processes, solutions, and best practices to support knowledge sharing across the team.
Develop practical communication skills to interact with technical peers and business users confidently.
Assist in testing and validating new Salesforce features and updates before deployment.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for enthusiastic students who meet the following criteria:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program majoring in Computer Science or a similar field.
Strong academic performance with a solid understanding of Java, Python, SQL, and Web Frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
High energy and a proactive approach to tackling new challenges.
A team player who can collaborate across different levels of the organization.
Willingness to spend significant time in the field, gaining hands-on experience and firsthand knowledge of our business operations.
SCHEDULE AND ENVIRONMENT
Work Schedule: This is an onsite role with a mandatory 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, working an 8-hour shift daily.
Work Environment: You'll work in various office/plant environments where you'll encounter moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and more.
Transportation: Interns are responsible for their own transportation to and from their worksites.

Consolidated Electrical Distributors
Graduate internship job in Vicksburg, MS
Our internship is designed for candidates who are sales oriented and interested in sales or management. Our highly structured 10-12 week introductory course is paid and will provide candidates a working knowledge of the industry by exposing them to all aspects of the electrical distribution field through a combination of mentoring and on-the-job training. The program requires a strong commitment from each participant and encompasses, but is not limited to, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, counter sales, sales and interpersonal skills, customer relations and CED business philosophy. Our interns will have the opportunity to work on special projects such as market sales or customer analysis, as well as, other projects custom designed by the management team and the intern.
Reports to: Profit Center Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
+ Current, valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
+ Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Strong negotiation skills
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software
+ Detail oriented
+ Ability to solve problems
+ Must be a self-starter who can handle a heavy volume of work and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
Working Conditions:
Conditions vary based on the intern's current segment of the training and will include warehouse, office and external environments. During some segments, activities will include lifting, sorting, standing, possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods.
